FREEDOM MOVEMENT featuring KNEEL and the STRAWMEN is a local Sacramento post hip hop group dedicated to personal freedom and financial liberation of the economically oppressed. They have performed for many community events in Sacramento focused on social justice. Influences include T-Reazy, DUC, Benner, and William Hung. Although several members are dedicated Occupy Sacramento organizers this will be their first performance at an Occupy Event. Much credit goes to Kim Sloan, Co-Producer and one of two lead organizers on the April 22nd Project for recommending and obtaining their participation. Joe Stevens, performing solo on April 22nd, is a Sacramento local now taking a break from his band of many years, Coyote Grace. He has toured from coast to coast and recorded an impressive number of CDs, mixing bluegrass, blues, soul, and southern twang into a unique sound that hovers just beyond the edge of familiar. His touring schedule is very generous to small audiences in small towns. Whether solo for Occupy Sac or with his band on tour, he combines virtuoso craft as a musician, inspirational and introspective song writing, with a humble, warm, charming and humorous stage presence. On the morning of March 21, a few members of Occupy Sacramento setup the information table along with two tents. After about two hours, a friendly neighborhood police officer asked us to take down the tents even though they were just props (and propping up signs).

Even though Occupy Sacramento had at least several tents setup throughout the day for the first couple of months, we did not push it much and did not think the citation and court date(s) were worth it this time.

SACRAMENTO – US Bank – which Monday announced it would be leaving UC Davis because of protests by Occupy – is the target again Tuesday….this time in Sacramento as Occupy supports the fight to save a local farm from foreclosure and eviction.

A news conference is set for 1:15 p.m. TUESDAY (3/30/12) in front of the courthouse (800 9th St.). The hearing to get an injunction preventing the eviction begins at 1:45 p.m. in Dept. 54.

Late last week – as Occupy Sacramento was preparing to occupy the land to prevent eviction – the Sheriff’s Dept. announced it would not do an eviction as it previously had said it would, according to the Rev. Ashiya Odeye, a spokesperson for the Justice Reform Coalition.

Odeye said US Bank does not have “recognized title to the property and won’t be able to prove they have any standing in Court. In addition they have now committed fraud on the Court with multiple case filings.”

The property has been the home to a Sacramento area family for nearly 40 years, and a spiritual center for many others, according to  Odeye. He called US Bank a “corporate criminal.”

He said “It is time to bring attention to the crimes the banks and their servicers are committing . All across the country people are taking the opportunity to stand against the corporate gangsters that have ripped the hearts out of our communities, and caused a near meltdown of our economy and the quality of our lifestyles.”

I think the most exciting thing is real civic engagement and civic participation. And I think the tools of technology are going to aid and advance those voices in a dramatic way, and scale them. I think it’s the most dynamic and extraordinary thing that will happen in our lifetime…and it’s happening NOW.

And we saw that amplified, obviously, in the Middle East. But I think increasingly you’re going to see that not just with dictatorships overseas, but in terms of the limited engagement that exists here in America. I think people are going to have to wake up that it’s a new day and a new dawn, and technology is going to create a framework where you can’t hide, and you can’t run. And you’d better engage and listen and procure a framework of solution or you’re not going to be around a lot in terms of, you know, political life.

So I think that’s the most extraordinary thing that is happening.

First ‘Pro-Occupy/99%’ candidates officially announce campaigns for Sacramento County Board of Supervisors

SACRAMENTO — Occupy Sacramento attorney Jeff Kravitz and high school government teacher Gary Blenner officially announced Wednesday that they are running for Sacramento County Board of Supervisors — as the first “pro-Occupy/99%” candidates in the area, and possibly the state of California.

Kravitz, who is a volunteer attorney for Occupy activists arrested at Cesar Chavez Park, is a civil rights lawyer and former constitutional law professor. He is running in District 3.

Blenner is a government teacher at Rio Americano High School, and a former school board member in the Center Unified School District. He is running in District 4.

Both said they will be running “for the 99%,” not corporations, promising to hold a series of “99% community forums” over the next few months to find out what the 99% want them to do if they are elected.

In a joint statement released Wednesday, they said:

“The 99 percent are under-represented in Sacramento. The 1 percent, corporations and the wealthy, are over-represented. We are going to ask the people — the 99 percenters — in our districts what they want. We will hold a series of 99 percent town halls to listen to the people, the 99 percent who are working men and women often ignored and exploited by the very politicians they elect.

“We will not support cuts in our county that harm those already under-represented and who need the safety net that has been shredded in recent years. We will not support cuts in our county that hurt those in need, whether they be the homeless, taxpayers caught in a bind or others, such as the sick and elderly, who must rely upon county funded services.

“We will not support a sell-off of public property to pay for millionaire and billionaire arenas.”

Why Ron Paul?

Even though the puppet President position of the United Corporation of America, can do little alone to change the game.

Even though we ALSO need to VOTE OUT AT LEAST 95% OF CONGRESS with millions of simple steps (voting absentee in advance is relatively easy).

I’m registering Republican this election and voting for Ron Paul because he is the ONLY “electable” candidate talking about PEACE!

The ONLY candidate in either party talking about ending our current wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and others…and NOT starting new ones!

Even if Paul doesn’t get elected, we deserve a real challenge to Obama in the general election and NONE of the other candidates have a chance at beating the incumbent.

If nothing else, this Air Force veteran can bring a radical policy of PEACE to a wider audience than the republican “debates”.

Try listening to a Ron Paul highlights reel on YouTube for a debate on one of the Cartoon News Networks,

and even if you don’t agree with all his very consistent positions, SURPRISE!…you will hear rational discourse!

I know his vision of dramatically reduced government may scare many. But since the revolving doors surrounding most regulatory agencies allow them to be used more as a tools FOR the corporate-industrial complex to maintain hegemony…is less of THAT really worse?

Why Ron Paul?

Not just because he is the only mainstream candidate in both parties with any real empathy for the worldwide Occupation of the 99.99%.

Not just because the mainstream still insists that nobody predicted the “Great Recession.”

I’m voting for Ron Paul because he is the ONLY candidate in either party talking about the FEDERAL RESERVE.

Because he tried to prevent this extra radical consolidation of wealth and the “Great Recession”…at least ten years ago.

I don’t agree with him on every single issue, but he nails all the ones that matter most [urgently].

Not just because all the other “electable” candidates support the continued expansion of the war on drugs, war on terror, and cybersecurity.

I’m voting for Ron Paul because he was one of the few who voted AGAINST THE USA PATRIOT ACT and the recent treasonous National Defense Authorization Act!

I’m voting “Blue Republican” without expectations or HOPE for CHANGE by replacing one seat in corrupt government.

But if nothing else, it will send a message to the world that WE THE PEOPLE of America want PEACE!

Not because paperless electronic voting machines are intended to be rigged, and our votes don’t matter as much as they used to.

I’m voting for Ron Paul AND TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT IT, because he really could win as a Constitutionalist right now in this year of 1776 — I mean 2012.

Why Ron Paul?

I’m voting for Ron Paul because when he speaks, he almost always speaks from the heart…unlike most politicians.

You can feel him telling you what he truly believes, instead of just what his polls or handlers say.

So who should he choose for Vice President?

Who else speaks from principled and good positions?

I would LOVE to see him run with Dennis Kucinich

…or Cynthia McKinney, another of my few heroes in Congress.

…or maybe Buddy Roemer, who is running on the single issue of campaign finance reform and backs Occupy Wall Street.

I would trust most compromises found with such a team of “rivals” in the White House…

at least wildly more than any other “electable” options presented in any election in my lifetime.

I would LOVE to vote for such a team of allies for PEACE in 2012.

Even though we must also outgrow the octopus, and occupy the world.

Even though we must also apply critical thinking to more of our thoughts and daily dollar votes.

Even though we must also spread love and solidarity for our fellow humans around the world.

Not to immediately realize the world we want..

But to at least help shift the consciousness towards PEACE.

That’s Why Ron Paul.

Sacramento citizens gathered on February 4th, 2012 to protest the sanctions and other escalations towards the start of a hot war with Iran. Organized by ANSWER Coalition, Sacramento chapter, and attended by several dozen peace-mongers including some of us from Occupy Sacramento.

A friend and I throw together a last minute protest of the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the indefinite detention of US citizens without trial. Senator Boxer voted with most of the Senate for this unconstitutional law. Just doing our small part in joining nationwide protests at representatives’ offices on February 3rd, 2012.

This measure would memorialize the Legislature’s disagreement with the decision of the United States Supreme Court in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, and would call upon the United States Congress to propose and send to the states for ratification a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and to restore constitutional rights and fair elections to the people. campaign finance reform is an absolutely vital step in restoring the people’s power to our governments, at all levels.

I just want to share that Senator Wolk’s support for Assembly Joint Resolution 22 is quite frankly one of the requirements for my vote in November. AJR 22 calls for Congress to propose a Constitutional Amendment to overturn the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling.

Radical campaign finance reform is an absolutely vital step in restoring the people’s power to our governments…at all levels. Our elections were bought and paid for long before Citizens United, and more work must be done beyond just overturning it, but a Constitutional Amendment would send the right message and garner appropriate support for this issue. So please support AJR 22 and any attempts to clean up elections within California as well.

On December 7th,  just five days before many of us had trials starting for earlier arrests, more than 20 occupiers were arrested in Cesar Chavez Park. Some peaceful occupiers were arrested for the first,  second, third, fourth, or fifth time. Many of us were charged with resisting arrest. This night marked my third arrest for Occupy Sacramento, and my first charge of resisting arrest.

Nine Occupy Sacramento defendants with 20 curfew (civil disobedience) cases were dismissed on December 12th, the day before our first round of trials were supposed to begin. But the City Attorney’s Office can evidently not handle the volume of our cases, and has dismissed dozens, including those related to my first two arrests.

I just received a copy of the hearing transcript. I feel bad here for the city’s attorney, Mr. Lindsey, scolded by the judge for the office’s lack of preparation. He did not order the unconstitutional arrests in the first place, and likely did not make the decision to prosecute.

In the end he explains how they will try to slap us with $100 administrative fees anyway, even though the charges are being dropped. Our lawyers explained they could have gone that route earlier instead of bringing the charges to court, but it is way too late for that. We are in the process of appealing those fees.

My understanding is also that the resolutions the city was hoping to get but didn’t, were the $100 deals we were each offered in the weeks before. None of us took the offered deals, we wanted jury trials. The city could not handle this.

Five days before this hearing, Occupy Sacramento held an action resulting in 20 more arrests, putting us past the mark of 100 arrests in two months. That night of December 7th was my third arrest. It has not been resolved yet (unlike the two resolved in this transcript), and I am due back in court for that on Feb 10th.

“THE COURT” means the judge. Gary Lindsey is a Deputy City Attorney. Linda Parisi is one of the lawyers defending one of my brothers and sisters in civil disobedience. This excerpt starts on page 20 of 33 in the attached PDF document.

THE COURT: All right. Miss — Miss Parisi –

MS. PARISI: Yes.

THE COURT: — what’s your position?

MS. PARISI: Yes. I — I would indicate to the Court that really we are ill-equipped to argue these motions. There is a discovery order that was pending before the Court and granted with a compliance date of December 5th. If my recollection is correct, we have not been provided with discovery.
And as a result, we are incapable of articulating the full arguments to the Court because therefore their failure to comply with discovery.
Additionally, when I review their pleadings, they articulate no facts as required by statute in order to suggest why joinder of these two cases would be appropriate.

MR. LINDSEY: It’s not that we haven’t provided discovery at all. We have provided discovery. There may — there may not be as complete as the defense has sought, and there — maybe the Court may decide to do something short of dismissal.

THE COURT: Are there other items coming? I mean, was — you — they asked for some things in discovery. Apparently it was granted.
Did you turn over everything? Some?

MR. LINDSEY: Some.

MS. PARISI: Two of the 13 requested items have been complied with. There are 11 items outstanding.

THE COURT: All right. Let me talk to Mr. Lindsey a second.
Are you planning on discovering the other items to the defense or have you changed your mind and you want to — and you can’t do it or you won’t do it?
What’s the issue?

MR. LINDSEY: Well — well, for instance, with the videotapes, they’re — unfortunately, this is on VHS tape. That would take real-time to –

THE COURT: Who uses VHS?

MR. LINDSEY: Apparently Sacramento Police. Don’t ask me.
And it would take real-time to reduce — like to reproduce it, but would take an extreme amount of time because somebody has to actually do it in real-time.

THE COURT: You’ve videotape that you need to copy and turn over?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: Well, so when will you have that ready?

MR. LINDSEY: I believe by next week, your Honor, if we — if we –

THE COURT: I don’t understand entirely what the issue is with the tape. It seems, you know, pretty easy to copy a videotape.
But is this some unusual videotape?

MR. LINDSEY: It’s not the direct — let’s say if you had like a CD and you directly burned it in a matter of minutes. It’s sitting there the entire time. Somebody has to sit there for hours on end.

THE COURT: Is this a videotape that was down at the park of incident?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes. Yes, your Honor. Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: So who — was this city police took –

MR. LINDSEY: That’s correct, your Honor.

THE COURT: There was like a C.S.I. officer or some officer was taping the incident?

MR LINDSEY: That’s correct, your Honor.

THE COURT: And now they don’t have the technology to make a copy of that?

MR. LINDSEY: They do.

THE COURT: And so why would it take more than — I don’t know, a couple hours to get that done? I don’t understand.

MR. LINDSEY: It would take not more than a couple hours.

THE COURT: So why haven’t you turned that over yet?

MR. LINDSEY: I see your point, your Honor.

THE COURT: Well, what — what do you want to do about that?
I mean, are you gonna have it — can you get it today? What’s the issue?
You are ordered to turn over to — did Judge Frawley give you a day to turn over –

MR. LINDSEY: Yes.

THE COURT: In other words, you have a certain amount of time.
Did he give you a day to discover it?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: What was the deadline?

MR. LINDSEY: It was the 5th, your Honor.

THE COURT: He gave you until the 5th?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: Of December?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: Today is the 12th. So you’re — a week has gone by and you haven’t been able to do it.
Can you explain why you haven’t turned it over?

MR. LINDSEY: We were in negotiations for resolution that looked like they were gonna go through as far as actual resolution and they fell through.

THE COURT: Do you understand Court Orders is not a suggestion, Mr. Lindsey?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, I do, your Honor.

THE COURT: I mean, it’s certainly understandable, a huge backlog or there is a reason for getting some information.
But when it doesn’t sound like you’re explaining there isn’t any difficulty in getting that information, you just didn’t discover it.
So tomorrow’s the day of trial. What were you gonna do, show up tomorrow and — without giving the discovery?
The defense seems to say they want trial tomorrow, but help me out, Mr. Lindsey.

MR. LINDSEY: I — I see your point, your Honor.

THE COURT: So where is the tape?

MR. LINDSEY: The tape is –

THE COURT: Can you get it today?

MR. LINDSEY: Reproduced or the physical tapes, your Honor, are you saying — you’re asking reproduced?

THE COURT: Yes.
Can you make a copy and turn it over to defense today? You’ve got a trial set tomorrow.

MR. LINDSEY: I don’t believe so, your Honor.

THE COURT: Why not?

MR. LINDSEY: The tapes — I believe the tapes are such length as far as duration of time that they wouldn’t be ready for everybody.

THE COURT: Not particularly acceptable, Mr. Lindsey.
You contact the police department and tell them there’s a Court Order. They must have it. That’s the way it usually works. And then they make a copy.
And if there is some problem with it, then you come to court and explain what the problem is, if there is a technological problem or something like that.
So you have 10 out of — uh, actually two out of 13 items?

MS. PARISI: Right. I was mistaken. I believe we made a request for it looks like 22 items and two have been complied with.

THE COURT: So two out of 22 items.
What — what are the other items and why haven’t you turned them over?
Let’s start with why haven’t you turned the other 20 items over?

MR. LINDSEY: Well, there are items that we did turn over.

THE COURT: Two?

MR. LINDSEY: It was more than than two.

THE COURT: Okay. Whatever the number, where is the balance of the items that the Court ordered you to turn over by December 5th or was it by December –

MS. PARISI: December 5th.

THE COURT: Yeah. You were told that you must turn them over by December 5th and here you are seven days later.
So where is the rest of the items?

MR. LINDSEY: They still need to be fully compiled, your Honor.

THE COURT: Okay.

MR. LINDSEY: And it would be in the possession of parks and recreation.
For instance, your Honor, the city of Sacramento –

THE COURT: Are they physical items?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: I mean, in other words, these items of evidence that the defense — you could show the defense. I don’t even know. I don’t [know] what the issue is now.

MR. LINDSEY: For example, permits going back five years for all the park permits, that kind of thing.

THE COURT: Okay. So these aren’t difficult things to obtain it doesn’t sound like. You just need to make photocopies of them.
Is that what you’re saying?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: So again, Mr. Lindsey, why hasn’t all this been turned over? I fail to understand why it hasn’t been turned over up to this point.
Have you asked anybody to turn it over? Have you asked parks and rec. –

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, I have, your Honor.

THE COURT: What’s the status? Have you talked to them today? Where is this information? We’ve got trial set for tomorrow.

MR. LINDSEY: I did not talk to them today, your Honor.

THE COURT: All right. So what were you planning to do? Were you going to show up tomorrow morning without showing up (sic) the discovery and expect everybody to go along with that?
   You have to have a plan here. I’m not trying to be rude here.

MR. LINDSEY: I understand, your Honor. I understand.

THE COURT: You have — if you’re gonna go to trial, you have to be able to provide the discovery.
Did you object to giving the discovery over in the first place?

MR. LINDSEY: No, your Honor.

THE COURT: So you agree that this was discoverable information and the Court ordered it, and it sounds like you haven’t really taken that many steps to comply with the discovery order because you thought it was going to resolve apparently. But that plan doesn’t appear to be working out too well for you.
So tomorrow is the date for trial. I think the 45th day is the 19th, something like that.

MR. LINDSEY: That’s correct, your Honor.

THE COURT: So what — what’s your plan? You tell me what the plan is.

MR. LINDSEY: Come back tomorrow, see what we can get done and we go from there, your Honor, and whatever the Court’s decision is or decision as far as tomorrow as far as what we can physically produce for the defense.

THE COURT: Is — those motions came through this department at one point and before it was assigned out, and I do recall reading it.
It appears to me that everybody cut and pasted — everybody had the same exact same request from what I can recall. Everybody had the same items.

MR. LINDSEY: Pretty much, yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: So it wouldn’t be difficult if you can come up with one complete packet of discovery, you have to copy it nine times and you’re done, right?
So can you even complete the packet of discovery tonight?

MR. LINDSEY: I don’t know for sure, your Honor.

THE COURT: Mr. Lindsey, you’re representing the People on this case. This is your responsibility to do this.
And I don’t know what’s going on back in your office. Why don’t — you don’t have more support here where you’ve got nine defendants set for trial?
But right now I don’t know what you’re doing. You haven’t moved to join the defendants or to charge anybody under a single complaint.
You haven’t provided it sounds like 80 percent of the discovery that’s requested in this case.
I think everybody was gonna answer ready tomorrow.
Were you gonna try all nine cases yourself or were you gonna have nine different city attorneys over here trying these cases tomorrow morning?

MR. LINDSEY: We have to spread out, your Honor.

THE COURT: What were you going to spread out?

MR. LINDSEY: In between attorneys, your Honor.

THE COURT: You were gonna have nine lawyers here tomorrow?

MR. LINDSEY: Well, not nine.

THE COURT: Since you didn’t move to join these, and and it’s at the Court’s urging that they be joined, I just — I fail to understand your plan.
What is your plan?
How do you — how are you going to prosecute these cases in a way that the defense all gets the discovery they’re — they’re entitled to and where we have enough courtrooms to try ‘em and there are enough prosecutors to try ‘em?
And by prosecutors I mean city attorneys who are prosecuting these cases.
Do you need some time to talk to somebody?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor. I do.

THE COURT: Why don’t you take 15 minutes and — and talk to — this over with somebody and we’ll — we’ll come back on the record, okay?

MR. LINDSEY: Okay.

… (recess) …

THE COURT: All right. On — on the discovery issue did you want to be heard any further?

MR. LINDSEY: Actually, your Honor, I think I can resolve the whole thing if I can just make a brief statement.

THE COURT: That would be great.

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.
The City Attorney’s Office appreciates the Court’s dealing with the high volume of cases that came through in relation to “Occupy Sacramento”. I think it was over 50 maybe.
And there were attempts to resolve these cases, given that they were misdemeanors and so on and so forth, along the lines with something other than going to trial, having to do D.E.J. or potentially administrative penalties under the City of Sacramento administrative process.
As I mentioned before, that ultimately fell through. But at this time it’s probably obvious we should go through the administrative penalty process instead of the criminal court system in relation to these cases.
And on that I would make a motion to dismiss in the interest of justice.

THE COURT: So the nine cases or actually nine defendants, there is more than that. So there is a number of cases total here, but you’re just talking about the cases on calendar today?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: So that will be including — all the cases that are set for trial tomorrow, including all the trailing cases for each defendant?

MR. LINDSEY: That’s correct. Everything just Prodan and Thompson.

MS. PARISI: ThompsonProdan, she has two set for trial, one trailing.
I understand him saying he’s moving to dismiss as to all three.

THE COURT: Is that going to include any — everything with Amy Anderson?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: All cases with Kathryn Coke, Jolio Escobar, Daniel Garza, Morgan Lesko, Tracy Rice-Bailey, Even Talmage, Sara ThomasProdan and Sean Thompson?

MR. LINDSEY: That’s correct, your Honor.

THE COURT: All of the cases that are on calendar today, I’m not going through the numbers on each of those, but all of those cases at this time will be — is a motion to dismiss for interest of justice?

MR. LINDSEY: Yes, your Honor.

THE COURT: As to all of those defendants, no objection is being heard from any of the defense. Defense attorneys all do appear to be present at this time. That will be granted.
And there are no bonds I assume.

MS. PARISI: I don’t believe so.

THE COURT: Thank you.

MS. PARISI: Thank you, your Honor.

MR. LINDSEY: Thank you.

Protest bulldozer will demolish homes outside ‘Israel lobby’ event Sunday, Dec. 4; Local elected officials urged to  show support of justice by shunning AIPAC lunch

Wielding giant props painted to look like homes and a Caterpillar bulldozer, local members of Jewish Voice for Peace and others will dramatize Israeli demolition of Palestinian homes outside the annual AIPAC gathering at the Radisson Hotel, 500 Leisure Lane, Sacramento, on Sunday, December 4 at 11am.

Since Israel began its military occupation of Palestine’s West Bank and Gaza Strip in 1967, more than 24,000 Palestinian homes have been demolished as part of Israel’s on-going occupation and colonization.

More than 500,000 Jewish-Israeli settlers have been moved to the occupied West Bank in violation of the Geneva Conventions. Many of the settlers are armed, and, with the protection of the Israeli military, attack and harass Palestinian civilians and destroy their property.

AIPAC, the American Israel Political Action Committee, commonly referred to as the “Israel lobby” but espousing particularly hard-line Israeli and U.S. policy positions, tries to entice local elected officials to attend this annual luncheon by pretending it represents the views and interests of American Jews.

“In fact, more and more of us, especially younger Jews, are increasingly appalled by the disastrous occupation, militarist and anti-democratic policies of Israel’s government,” said David L. Mandel, a member of the local Jewish Voice for Peace chapter, a U.S-Israeli dual citizen and longtime activist for peace and justice in the Middle East. “AIPAC’s public support may not yet be down to 1 percent, but that’s whose interests it represents and we have no doubt it will get there as the 99 percent in America become increasingly aware of how we’re being misled on this issue along with so many others.”

“Our government’s continued political, military and financial support of Israel is politically and morally untenable: it promotes war and oppression, not peace and justice,” states a letter sent by Jewish Voice for Peace, Veterans for Peace, Physicians for Social Responsibility and several other organizations to local, state and federal elected officials, asking them not to attend the event. “While people all over the Middle East are demanding freedom and democracy, AIPAC supports the denial of these basic rights to Palestinians under the guise of security for Israel, which disingenuously claims to be ‘the only democracy’ in the region. As Americans, we are deeply concerned that the United States continues to isolate itself from world opinion with regard to basic human rights, respect for international law and equal treatment for Palestinians,” continues the letter.

Hexter, student regents Alfredo Mireles and Jonathan Stein, and California State Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez.

UC Regents Meeting Taken Over As Peoples’ Regents Meeting

Once the financial committee began their meeting, public comments were no longer sought out. Occupiers at each of the four locations (UC Davis, UCLA, UC Merced, and UC San Francisco-Mission Bay) took turns mic checking, and declared “peoples‘ regents meetings” in place of the hierarchical meeting which had proceeded. After a bit of time, the official regents meeting moved behind closed doors as occupiers continued to hold general assemblies.

A resolution was passed with 1,729 votes recorded to have a general strike on Nov 28 in hopes of blocking the UC regents meeting on campus that day.

On October 11^th, at 6pm, Occupy Sacramento officially made it’s presence known to the City Council during its regularly scheduled meeting. First rallying outside, occupation supporters flooded the meeting, and many gave testimony to share their perspectives on the record. But even after opening this dialogue with our elected officials, we continue to be arrested for staying in the park after the extended hours (11pm on weekdays, midnight on weekends).

While our occupation continued to grow, organize, and evolve over the next week, Occupy Sacramento continues to have the extra daily tasks of setting up and breaking down our entire infrastructure, and taking turns spending nights in the jail three blocks away from Cesar Chavez Park. Activist hero Cindy Sheehan, of nearby Vacaville, has also joined Occupy Sacramento and was arrested alongside fellow occupiers last Saturday night (Oct 15-16, night 10).

On October 18^th, Occupy Sacramento spent it’s second Tuesday night in another very disappointing Sacramento City Council meeting. During this meeting dozens of occupiers thoughtfully presented our shared positions, but this seemed to fall on largely deaf ears. Mayor Kevin Johnson did offer to expand our level of discussion, and possibly work with us on a resolution he could take to Washington DC in November.

Representatives Steve Cohn and Angelique Ashby came closest to supporting us, maybe leaning towards a compromise allowing us to keep only our primary infrastructure tents and key volunteers overnight. While this pledge for enhanced collaboration could be positive, no one on the council defended our right to fully occupy Cesar Chavez Park and camp there 24/7. Citizens who remain at the park past its hours will continue to be arrested for being at a place of riot.

This limit and persecution on our right to assembly during this time of potential revolution is completely unacceptable…so we the people will continue to be peacefully arrested in OUR park.

In our current corporatocracy, you too, are likely part of the 99%. Please join us in this experiment in 21st century democracy!

On October 3rd, when I first heard about the plans to Occupy Sacramento, I had also been thinking about going from Davis to San Francisco to participate in the Occupy The FED to focus on ending (or nationalizing) the privately-owned Federal Reserve. I knew I wanted to participate heavily in one of these two local occupations, and decided to go with Sacramento so I could spend more time there and simultaneously focus on local and other issues.

The first day, Thursday, October 6th, I mostly just participated in marches, enjoyed the self-chosen speakers, had some individual discussions, and did my best to record the event as a citizen journalist. But this weekend, I took less video footage and got more involved.

I didn’t get to Cesar Chavez Park until around 7pm after I finishing my day’s work, but it sounds like it was another great day, with a bit less attendence than Thursday. Our standard formula continued, with regular general assemblies to decide the nature of our occupation, open forums where anyone can share their views over a bullhorn, workshops, and periodic mid-town marches.

Friday night, when the park closed at midnight, many people began to occupy the public park after hours but most left after the first warning to disperse. This left one brave soul, Patrick Riordan, to hold down the occupation for the night. He was arrested alone that night, and although he is fine, he faced a rougher night in jail than any of the rest of us have had. Thank you so much Patrick, we love you!

On Saturday morning, I asked one of our amazing Resource coordinators, Laura, how I could help. And so I began the creation of an official information booth for Occupy Sacramento, so the Media team could focus their energy on all their publication and online presence. This was a great deal of fun and aside from the general information and daily schedules we post there to inform attendees, we had a tarp — and now a real table — for informative materials free for the taking.

About half of the table is dedicated to more “official” materials generated by the group like the Occupy Sacramento Newsletter, flyers, and the first official statement from Occupy Wall Street. The other half of the table is reserved for ANYONE to leave ANY materials they wish to share. I like to call it, “Need some info? Take some info. Have some info? Leave some info.” And¬†given our big tent of 99%, you can find anything from Tea Party magazines, to socialist flyers.

Throughout the day, Occupy Sacramento continued to hold general assemblies, open forums, workshops, art and music sessions, and marches. At midnight, around 30 of us sat down just inside one corner of Cesar Chavez park to remain after it closed. We performed this civil disobedience in defense of our rights to freely assemble in this public park and freely speek with one another. After some private discussion and planning by the handful of Sacramento police officers already on the scene, a couple dozen police vehicles all rolled in together. Soon after arriving, the lead officer on the scene ordered us to disperse, and the occupiers who did not want to risk arrest crossed the invisible line of the park’s borders to join the rest of our observers on the sidewalk.

This left 14 citizens sitting with signs and most of our hands clearly visible, continuing to chant things including “Police are the 99%.” After one or two more warnings by the police for us to disperse, a few dozen police officers surrounded the sit-in. They wore helmets and held clubs and at least one pepper spray paintball gun which I remember seeing. But my 13 brothers and sisters and I all successfully remained completely non-violent and our respect to the police was once again reciprocated. None of us were harmed during our arrests and the hardest part tended to just be the discomfort, fatigue, and bordem of sitting in jail all night.

Although some of us were released from jail earlier, I was released around noon the next day after almost 12 hours in police custody, but safe and sound. I was charged with two misdemeanors:

• PC 409 – Remaining at place of riot post order to [disperse]
• SCC 12.72.090 – Loitering in parks during certain hours

The media team and citizen journalists who are actively participating in this citizen occupation have been doing an amazing job of getting the words, images, and videos out to all of our brothers and sisters across the world online. As far as local mainstream media goes, Natalie Sentz of Sacramento’s local ABC, channel 10, has been doing a relatively great job of reporting on Occupy Sacramento:

On Sunday and Monday nights, all occupiers staying past the park’s curfew voluntarily removed themselves from the park upon the first order to disperse by the police, then marched around the perimeter of the park for a while. My understanding of this action is that after making our point very clearly the past three nights, we wanted to help save city resources while still making our continued presence known. With each day that passes, our general assemblies and open discussions are making Occupy Sacramento more organized, connected, and ever closer to concrete lists of grievances and demands.

As the Occupy Together movement continues to extend and expand the principles and actions of Occupy Wall Street, we grow ever closer to reclaiming our world. Just in case these really are the beginning seeds of a true American revolution, the rest of the 99% needs to join us and help direct it in the ways we can all agree upon. Let us communicate and collaboratively organize in discussions where our elected representatives fail. This is as much about education as anything else, as we continue to learn and teach one another through open forums and unlimited face-to-face human interaction.

This is the most exciting time to be alive in centuries, so please stay off the couch and join us. Let’s keep it peaceful, positive, equal, and open-minded to create something remarkable during this once in a lifetime opportunity.¬†I love you all!¬†We are the 99%!

Welcome friends, to the Wiki World Order Report: peacefully replacing the corporate-industrial complex. This is episode seven, Clean Elections Fight Corporate Erections. A lot of people feel their like votes are not worth anything anymore, and opt out of participating in that part of democracy. We can use non-participation in trinket capitalism could help defund the corporate-industrial complex, or really send a message via mass strikes. And I do think we need to out-grow our kleptocracy to replace it with a new decentralized system.

But I also strongly believe that while we plan for our future, we must simultaneously steer the present. I think we must maximize our participation in the community and political process in hopes of reclaiming it. It is the only way to change how our government spends its big money funding the status quo, while supposedly working on our behalf. If and when we out-grow our current government, whatever system we replace it with will hopefully embody the principles we establish and fight for right now within the current governing paradigm.

Reclaiming democratic freedom is far from included in your taxes…it takes real effort and real people power. It means…

• Informing yourself on important issues from many perspectives
• Voting in every election you can, and unelecting legislators who don’t represent you
• Frequently lobbying your elected representatives
• And even organizing groups in your community

No matter what system of human relationships rules your land, is it not your duty to help ensure it hears each of our voices?

There is a concept largely associated with the military-industrial complex known as the iron triangle. It describes the trading of economic and human resources between interest groups and the government to perpetuate and continually expand the industry. This technique is not just used by the military, but is replicated by many different industries. I argue that one of the primary starting points for these endless cycles is the electoral support in the form of campaign contributions. So if we target this part of the formula, perhaps we will finally be able to make progress in pushing some of these industries back.

I’ve learned from 20 years of experience as an activist that the U.S. House and Senate, and therefore our country, move extremely slow on most issues. The biggest corporate interests sponsor candidates on both sides of the aisle, with some industries supporting red a bit more than blue, but both sides of the duopoly are generally corrupt and co-opted. There are a few brilliant exceptions of course, but they are vastly outnumbered.

Many citizens have fought for DECADES trying to fix issues which are NO-BRAINERS when faced with the facts, so we don’t even get to the point of discussing the underlying problems of the crony capitalism running our system. I want to emphasize that we might have a chance at accomplishing the obvious steps, and then the even more difficult steps, by first cutting our legislative bodies free from their addiction to corporate purse strings. In addition to greatly helping all activist efforts, this could also to improve Congressional oversight over the top secret parts of our government…thereby improving OUR oversight over those private parts.

The US Senate and the House of Representatives are designed to most directly represent we the people. But members of Congress spend a great deal of their time trying to raise money for future or current campaigns, which could be spent legislating. These bodies have been perversely corrupted by trends like the over 12,000 registered lobbyists who spent over $3.5 Billion in 2010. We see bills defeated and passed by politicians who are loyal to their purse strings over their values and sense of equality and justice…usually more concerned about doing what is right for their careers instead of their constituents.

In late 2009, a Public Citizen report explained how…

Between November 2008…and Sept. 30, 2009, the financial industry…has given $48.3 million in campaign contributions to members of Congress and their leadership political action committees…
…The 94 members of the two finance committees have received $16.9 million overall. The top 10 committee recipients include the Democratic chairmen: Sen. Chris Dodd (Conn.) and Rep. Barney Frank (Mass.); and the ranking Republicans on the committees: Sen. Richard Shelby (Ala.) and Rep. Spencer Bachus (Ala.).

Also, according to the Center for Responsive Politics (opensecrets.org), Wall Street made up five of the top twenty contributors to Barack Obama‘s 2008 presidential campaign, and three of the top ten.

• Obama’s 7th largest contributor was JPMorgan Chase & Co: $695,132
• His 6th largest was Citigroup Inc: $701,290
• His 2nd largest was Government Sachs — I mean —- Goldman Sachs: $994,795

Now here we are in 2011 and we have still not seen real fundamental reforms of the financial sector to fix the root causes of the financial crisis…which was predicted by many. And after breaking the economy toward the end of the Bush administration, nobody from Wall Street has gone to jail. Instead, Wall Street has now just broken it’s all-time compensation record paying its employees a total of $135 billion in 2010, as unemployment stats remain consistently high despite being manipulated.

These systemic problems also dramatically worsened on January 21st, 2010 with the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on Citizens United versus the Federal Election Commission. The 5-4 decision held that “corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in candidate elections cannot be limited under the First Amendment.” This has opened the floodgates even more for corporate millions to affect the outcomes of elections. The Sunlight Foundation calculated that this case already enabled an extra $186 million to be spent in the 2010 election, or 40 percent of the total spent by outside groups.

In Justice Stevens’ dissent he wrote: “The Court’s ruling threatens to undermine the integrity of elected institutions across the Nation. The path it has taken to reach its outcome will, I fear, do damage to this institution.” Some propose a constitutional amendment to counteract this decision, which may in fact be worth all the effort it will require. Even if such an effort were unsuccessful, it may help rally the grassroots support needed to pressure for national reform through other legislative routes. According to a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll, “80 percent of Americans likewise oppose the ruling, including 65 percent who ‘strongly’ oppose it, an unusually high intensity of sentiment.”

Even without the Citizens United case, the standard behavior inside the beltway disgusts me. Like corporations, too many politicians follow their bottom-lines, which generally translate to the needs of their biggest corporate sponsors. It is one thing to make compromises while bills are being crafted and written, but the way politicians trade votes on various unrelated legislation seems backwards to me.

Why wouldn’t our representatives vote on a bill-by-bill basis, based on whether a bill is wise and just?
Why would we want our representatives to vote for bills any differently than their actual positions on the given issue?
The political capital that trumps all in my book, is voting and leading from the heart, backed by the facts. That is perhaps the best we can ask of any politician.

What Do Clean Elections Look Like?

One of the secrets in all aspects of life is to envision the swish, before making the shot. There are many different types of reforms promoted, so I’ll do my best to provide a quick road map of the more popular paths towards various levels of reform.

While I focus here on the national level, most of these issues are applicable at each state’s level. Even though most state legislative bodies are also filled with corporate money, fighting for campaign finance reform in individual states is also required to make the whole country more representative of its citizens.

Improvement Set #1: Adding Sunlight (Transparency)

• A. Require groups that spend heavily on elections to disclose their donors (like the Disclose Act which passed the House but not the Senate in 2010).
• B. Require something like the top five donors of non-restricted funds to be listed on the screen at the end of a television advertisement.

Improvement Set #2: Shifting Voice Volumes

• A. Limit how much “hard money” can be directly given to political campaigns by political action committees and other corporate funded entities, including some kind of repeal of the Citizens United decision.
• B. Limit how much “soft money” can be given to political parties (and/or find better ways to enforce the laws).
• C. Give corporate shareholders greater say over how companies spend to influence elections.
• D. Prohibit foreign influence in Federal elections, and enforce it.
• E. Prohibit government contractors from making expenditures with respect to such elections.
• F. Apply some kind of equal-access formula for how legislators spend their time. “For example, after a legislator plays a round of golf or spends an evening being wined and dined, this public servant would devote the same amount of time seeking out constituents who cannot afford even a part-time lobbyist.“

Reform Model #1: Matching Funds

• This “method allows the candidates to raise funds from private donors, but provides matching funds for the first chunk of donations. For instance, the government might “match” the first $250 of every donation.“
• This already exists in Presidential primary elections, but could be extended to the rest of the election process.
• Unfortunately, this existing Presidential primary public financing is currently being challenged in Congress in a bill which has already passed in the House.

Reform Model #2: Voting with Dollars

• First Part: Patriot Dollars – each voter would get a maybe $50 voucher for patriot dollars to give to various presidential and congressional candidates.
• Second Part: Anonymous Donations – donations to any campaign would be masked by the FEC so candidates do not know for sure who donated.

Reform Model #3: Clean Elections/Clean Money

• This would give “each candidate who chooses to participate a certain, set amount of money. In order to qualify for this money, the candidates must collect a specified number of signatures and small (usually $5) contributions. The candidates are not allowed to accept outside donations or to use their own personal money if they receive this public funding. Candidates receive matching funds, up to a limit, when they are outspent by privately-funded candidates…”
• Some form of Clean Elections have already existed in the states of Arizona, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, Vermont, and Wisconsin, and in the cities of Portland, Oregon and Albuquerque, New Mexico…though not all have survived.

While I am not personally positive what model will work the best if implemented, I do think we desperately need some serious, systemic reform of campaign financing and I do like the Clean Elections/Clean Money model. If enacted, voters could also essentially boycott candidates who do not use public financing.

Billionaires and mega-corporations larger than most countries often donate a fraction of their profits to charities to improve their image for public relations. But very rarely does that generosity counter-balance the vast damage and inequity caused by their profit-maximizing over the years, decades, or centuries. Similarly, I feel we’ve reached a point where the vast majority of signed legislation benefits the Corporate-Industrial Complex, and the average citizen only gets a tiny charitable kick-back in benefits…for political public relations.

Strengthening the citizen representation in Congress and state legislatures with fundamental campaign finance reform could be the most vital step in bringing back our beautiful republic to replace our current plutocracy. So please use your voice to its maximum potential, in whatever way you are most creative, and consider making clean elections one of the big issues in the 2012 elections.

Appendix B: Issues I Care About Which Might Benefit From Clean Elections

I think if we had serious campaign finance reform, we’d have a much better shot at progress in issues I care about like…

• Ending ALL of the illegitimate wars around the world, for the sake of all the victims of these wars, and deconstructing the majority of the military-industrial complex
• Ending the Patriot Act, rendition, torture, and similar Constitution shredding policies
• Ending the Federal Reserve System, fractional reserve banking, derivatives and other legal financial Ponzi schemes
• Ending the War On Drugs which among other things, imprisons far too many citizens and keeps minorities disproportionally disenfranchised and oppressed, a modern incarnation of the old Jim Crow laws
• Curbing large-scale pollution and using alternative energies and overunity energies to end our dependence on oil and coal…using solutions that DO NOT try to solve the problem by creating new legal Ponzi schemes to keep the profit-maximizers happy
• Creating a true public option to provide all citizens with universal health care, and supporting not-for-profit private health care options (see episode 4 on social businesses)
• Protecting farmers from the Monsanto food paradigm
• Basic animal rights to prohibit various forms of large-scale and legal torture
• Attaining full and equal legal rights for all citizens of all sexual orientations and identities

There seem to be some fairly sound theories regarding this massive earthquake being at least partially triggered by a combination of the major March 9th X1.5-class solar flare and coronal mass ejection landing on March 10th and current Super Moon activity. So I have no degree of confidence in the theory that the use of High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) could have been an additional trigger for this earthquake.

But if Piers Corbyn could predict the periods of high earthquake vulnerability, surely others could too. Perhaps they could see it as an opportunity to piggy-back natural volatility and push it over the edge and/or attempt to control the exact date and/or location and/or intensity.

It is quite well documented that the HAARP system exists and is allegedly capable of many forms of weather and geophysical manipulations, including earthquakes. Since this possibility unfortunately exists, we must look to HAARP as a potential suspect for recent and future allegedly natural disasters. It is perhaps even our duty, our responsibility for the covert actions of our government. If HAARP and other risky “research” arrays (which can be used as weather weapons) were shut down, there would be far less need for entertaining this alternative analysis.

Sure, a modern revolution has yet to come to America. Much of America is still hypnotized by their television’s flicker rate, but with the ubiquity of the internet people are starting to wake up to new layers of reality at an exponential rate. Putting our economic trends in the context of history brings forecasts of civil unrest due to economic and possibly food shortages (*food riots*).

Unless real reforms are made legislatively, such days seem likely to come. But if and when they do, let us take a lesson from the people of Egypt. No matter how their 2011 revolutionary process turns out in the long run, let us learn their brilliant example of peaceful resistance. Given the strength of our military-industrial complex, any future American revolution which involves violence will only bring despair.

Instead we will join hands with our brothers and sisters in our police departments and military to ensure there is no violence. Let our revolution look less like The Road and more like Burning Man, sustained by sharing, respect, equality, peace and love.

But until that day, there are infinite of ways that you, yes YOU, can be a revolutionary ever day. Here are a few revolutionary steps that I believe in…

1. Think about something important, directly affecting your world
2. Read a book on an important topic
3. Research something important
4. Discuss important things with your friends
5. Discuss important things with strangers
6. Spread information in your physical community as well as online
7. Call or personally write your legislators in Congress and your state capital about anything
8. Testify at local town halls, county councils, state legislatures or even Congress
9. Take your money out of all the major banks, moving to local banks like most credit unions
10. Ditch your car and ride a bicycle as much as possible for transportation (and fun!)
11. Install some solar panels…and demand that at least the government goes completely renewable (like government office buildings and vehicle fleets)
12. Buy as much local food as you can (Organic and NON-GMO)
13. Grow as much of your own food as you can
14. Eat less meat, or even transition to being vegan,¬†which saves water and other resources so more people can eat around the world. “One personal act that can have a profound impact on these issues is reducing meat consumption. To produce 1 pound of feedlot beef requires about 2,400 gallons of water and 7 pounds of grain. Considering that the average American consumes 97 pounds of beef (and 273 pounds of meat in all) each year, even modest reductions in meat consumption in such a culture would substantially reduce the burden on our natural resources.” – Center for a Livable Future, Johns Hopkins
15. Minimize how many of your dollars go to corporations larger than most countries
16. Support non-profits and social businesses
17. Start a social business
18. But most importantly: Follow Your Passion!

Completing just one of these steps is amazing, and should reward you with satisfaction. And maybe we can still fix things with a strong enough revolution of the mind before we need a full-blown revolution. But until that day, keep doing what you can to make the world a better place. And on that day, be ready to remain peaceful no matter what is thrown at us.

Welcome friends, to Episode 6 of the Wiki World Order report: Critical Thinking To Interpret SPINformation. I’m your host, Morgan Lesko.

All information is delivered with some amount of spin. Some spin is minimal and relatively neutral, while other spin dramatically changes the meaning or significance of information, and is also known as lying. Whether the spin is consciously or unconsciously applied, it must be consciously factored into your interpretation of any source of information. Information is distinct and separate from knowledge, and all of us are in desperate need of a reliable method to scan for viruses as we process everything.

The idealized version of history that I learned as a child taught me that the media was supposed to provide public oversight on what happens in our government, a concept comlmonly known as the Fourth Estate. But just as regulators in the executive branch have been neutralized by industries with overly lubricated revolving doors, the mainstream media has been bought and paid for by the corporate-industrial complex. In fact, just six mega-corporations absolutely dominate all the news and entertainment in the country: CBS, Time Warner (with CNN), Walt Disney (with ABC), General Electric (with NBC), Viacom (with MTV and Comedy Central), and of course Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp (with FOX).

Please consider that the colossal mainstream media quite literally has blood on its hands. They failed in their critical role in oversight during the marketing of multiple completely illegitimate wars, like in Iraq. Chances are, they never showed you the third building that collapsed at nearly free-fall speed on September 11th: World Trade Center Building 7. And they failed to report on how George W. Bush literally STOLE the presidential election from Al Gore in 2000.

There are plenty of excellent presentations of this kind of information, which I recommend you check out if you are interested in these topics. NOAM CHOMSKY: I mean this is way beyond just demonstrating the subservience of the media to power. I mean they have actual — they have real complicity in genocide in this case. The reason the atrocities can go on is because nobody knows about them. If anyone knew about them, there would be protests and pressure to stop them. So therefore by suppressing the facts, the media are making a major contribution to some of the — probably the worst act of genocide since the Holocaust.

NOAM CHOMSKY: There is nothing more remote from what I’m discussing, or what we have been discussing, than a conspiracy theory. If I give an analysis of say, the economics system, and I point out that General Motors tries to maximize profit and market share….that’s not a conspiracy theory, that’s an institutional analysis. It has nothing to do with conspiracy theories, and that’s precisely the sense in which we’re talking about the media. The phrase “conspiracy theory” is one of those that is constantly brought up. JOHN STAUBER of PR Watch: You see a news show, you watch 60 Minutes or a Fox program, or whatever it is, you tend to give more credibility to what you’re told is journalism. If an advertisement comes on, hopefully you tend to be more skeptical of that, because obviously somebody put an awful lot of money into crafting this slick TV ad and airing it. But what you’d probably never suspect, is that that news story you just watched was also crafted by a company, given to the TV station or network with the understanding that they would put their own logos on it, identify it as real journalism, and air it.

NARRATOR: Colonel Sam Gardener would eventually chart 50 false news stories created and leaked by the Bush White House propaganda apparatus prior to and during the assault on Iraq. Foremost amongst these were the lies that led to the war in the first place. It was not bad intelligence that led to the invasion, concludes Gardener. Over the past century, we have become particularly accustomed to taking the word of authority figures, while downplaying the need for critical thinking. We’ve been taught to outsource all of our critical thinking to experts. Just as with society’s rampant materialism, we have been encouraged to consume information instead of becoming active participants. As we evolve the processing of information via the wide-spread access to the internet, we are learning new ways to aggregate and hopefully distill the long tail of information…and the technologies are indeed empowering many more people, like myself, to supplement their consumption with creation.

But now that we have built the printing press of our century, we can maximize the power of this technology by reviving critical thinking to take a more methodical approach to interpret the newly found wealth of information. The goals are to reconcile all contradictions of information, constantly striving to increase our certainty regarding the who, what, where, when and why of current and historical events. Critical thinking is indeed critical.

Since the American public education system has failed to give us the skills required to actively question the media and other authority figures, we must also get back to our autodidactic roots….this means re-igniting the joy of teaching ourselves whatever topics interests us. We must come to terms with how much we really don’t know, and un-learn (or grow skepticism for) much of what we’ve been taught by others.

There are some remarkable educational concepts discouraged by our system called the Seven Liberal Arts and Sciences, made up of the trivium and the quadrivium. In its simplest form, the trivium is described as Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric: “Grammar answers the question of the Who, What, Where, and the When of a subject. Logic answers the Why of a subject. Rhetoric provides the How of a subject.” “Once a student is conversant with this three-fold procedural pattern, he is now capable of teaching himself, with minimal guidance from an instructor or facilitator, how to learn any established subject.”

And yet, if you don’t have a system, an operating system, of taking in that information, and thinking critically about it, deciding for yourself, then you’re really left to all of the authorities. And there are plenty of authorities out there that want to tell you how to live your life, and what to do with your money, etc.

PAUL VERGE: I would say pointing out the fallacy arguments in someone’s position, especially an authority figure, allows you to intellectually as opposed to emotionally respond to what they’re saying in a way that’s not necessarily threatening. It’s just truthful and it throws the ball back in their court, in a way where they have to either admit they are using a fallacy or change their position. Whereas they want you to respond emotionally, like a child, to get upset at the fact that they’re saying something to you or ordering you to do something.

LISA ARBERCHESKI: Right, and so you have to ask yourself am I making this decision based on good reasons and on good evidence, and logic, etc? Or am I being overwhelmed by some vivid evidence or circumstance by someone else’s advanced rhetoric?

(1:10:41) RICHARD GROVE: But the summary is that outcome-based education is in the benefit of these corporations and not in the benefit of our friends, families and ourselves, to be learning like that. Rick, what kind of example could you give the audience of the trivium method of learning versus the outcome-based education or the Prussian model of education.

RICK MALCHOW: Well, let’s say someone could teach you a song on an instrument, you know, using outcome-based education. You can be shown where to put your fingers and mechanically how to get through the song by using small portions, and then keep working, you know, one portion at a time, until the song is learned.

But you’ll learn that song faster if you use the trivium method. The trivium method is the opposite of outcome-based education. So what if you wanted to learn another song? Under outcome-based education, we would need to be taught, dependent on someone to teach and guide you through the process of learning another song. Outcome-based education creates intellectual cripples dependent on a system already in place to educate individuals on every new subject — or teaching new songs, per the example. Because the person learning never
mastered the basics, but only the outcome, and he had no way to be creative.

So and then if you were to teach the same song using the trivium method, first you would learn how to learn music, which is the knowledge or grammar portion of the trivium. Second you would learn how to use your fingers, scales, timing, etc, and this would be the understanding or logic portion. And third you would learn proper technique and expression, which would be the wisdom or rhetoric portion.

RICHARD GROVE: Right so it sounds like outcome-based education keeps you coming back for more as a customer of a teacher, instead of that teacher teaching you the one lesson that allows you to learn any other subject on your own much more expeditiously than you can with a teacher in what we know as the traditional system of education.

LISA ARBERCHESKI: Well and the tools of self-teaching enable you to move forward beyond the limits of your teachers and to become creative on your own.

RICHARD GROVE: Also allows you to save a lot of money, because if you think about it, if you learn how to read to yourself and you just get the curriculum…you can save a lot of money on a college education, and go a lot farther, and deeper, and get a truer education and have these things as a level understanding…because of the method in which you stored this information and learned this information and learned to articulate this information to others. - Peace Revolution podcast, episode 002: The Million Dollar Education / A Re-Discovery of the Lost Tools of Learning

In striving to use the trivium method while evaluating the media, I have consumed many books and an immense amount of random “documentary films” on all topics with an open and critical mind, though I have never been a big reader of random writings or blogs on conspiracies. I look at more from creators who produce quality work, and who clearly strive to offer maximum documentation and earn a record of higher historical accuracy.

As far as consistent news outlets go, now I really like the Corbett Report and Media Monarchy. Just as I am striving to do, they provide more direct documentation to mainstream sources: the same sources on which the mainstream bases their realities. Since we are working uphill against public opinion on a lot of these issues, they have learned to stick to topics with a strongly documented case, and must hone their source and evidence validation to stay ahead of their powerful and endless critics.

While adding lots of documents to my AltBib.Com research database last year, my process on Infowars.com or PrisonPlanet.com was actually to initially avoid reading the articles they wrote. Instead I just keep clicking through all the links provided throughout each alternative article, gradually finding all the new and old mainstream source articles supporting the alternative narrative.

Granted, the independent media sometimes uses hyperbolic headlines just like the rest of the American media. But at the end of this reading process, which is now second-nature to me, I usually felt the hyperbolic alternative headline was reasonably justified based on the facts confirmed by mainstream sources. Then if I am still interested I will read the full alternative analysis and do further independent research of my own.

For all documentation I find interesting or might possibly want to revisit later, I catalog it in my collaborative research database, AltBib.Com. A vast majority of this information is very mainstream, despite being considered evidence for these alternative theories. My stats page (http://AltBib.Com/stats.php) shows that at least three quarters of my documents there are from sources considered totally mainstream. Often, the smoking gun just shows up on page 23 of one prominent newspaper, instead of dominating a full news cycle for a day, week, month, year or decade.

So paradoxically, while the mainstream media has clearly failed us, I personally only feel comfortable defending alternative theories with some adequate quality and quantity of mainstream admissions and declassification of ‘evidence’ that convinces me, or of course, with adequately credible first-hand evidence (primary sources). Anything I haven’t researched myself is like window shopping for me, thinking ‘Oh, some guy thinks that? Wild, good to know some guy thinks that.’

One way to help move values of truth and transparency forward is to cancel your subscriptions to publications which support the corporate-industrial complex and based on the information now accessible, have proven to pass on the lies handed down to them without critical analysis. Instead, test out completely independent, listener supported media and financially support those you find valuable.

Since I am just starting out my show here, I recommend you check out the Tragedy & Hope online magazine and community which my work complements, including amazing truly independent sources for information like The Meria Heller Show, the Corbett Report, Media Monarchy, Gnostic Media, and 8th Estate Media & Research with the 9/11 Synchronicity podcast from 2006. Now that I’ve finally found them, I can happily say they have all been broadcasting extremely close to my intended frequency for years now.

This series of my writings and online shows are more focused on WHAT I think, based on my continued research. But I do hope it also sheds ample light on HOW to think, and beg of everyone to check out the Peace Revolution podcast as well as the Tragedy & Hope online community for a more thorough discussion on self-education. As I say, please do not take my word for ANYTHING, because you can only have certainty after doing the research yourself. So if you take away anything from this series, it would be more than enough to just adopt a more critical approach to how you process the information which interests you, and to shed your fear of teaching yourself new areas of study.

I am still learning along side you, a few chapters or books ahead or behind you in my studies, depending on the topic. Being human, I won’t get everything right, but I do all the research and writing for everything I put behind my own teleprompter. And I promise to never intentionally mislead those who listen to and/or participate in this show. I’m also learning how to do all this video stuff along with you, as this is not my background…but the only way to learn is to start trying. First you need a microphone, which you can really get at any price point. I don’t know much yet, but I’ve just heard it’s good to stay within about six inches from your microphone so your voice dominates the background noise of your room. For sound editing I use Audacity: the free, open source software for Mac or Windows.

If you have a smart phone, there’s a good chance you can download a free or cheap app which works as a teleprompter. On my iPhone, I am using a $1 app called iPrompter. Then check this out…I went to my local hardware store to get a piece of glass…and lucked out and they gave me a scrap piece for free! Then I just cut two slots in a cardboard box at roughly a 45 degree angle, and slid the glass through. Put your box on top of a surface at an appropriate height, and throw a dark sheet over the top, sides and back. Inside the box, is a $100 HD Flip Cam on a mini-tripod. With a little trial and error, it didn’t take me long to get a workable shot through my home made teleprompter.

Depending on your room, it might be worth investing in an extra light source or two. And you can hang a cheap green sheet on a wall behind you so you can easily swap out the background to make a video more visually stimulating, adding some sugar with the medicine. I use the free trial of Adobe After Effects, then reformat my computer every month to keep using it free AND legit. And easy yet thorough tutorials on how to use After Effects can be found for free at VideoCopilot.net. There are also tools on WikiWorldOrder.org for making your own reports, including a higher quality episode template without me in it, so feel free to reuse the graphics and animations I have made (all under Creative Commons).

Some future episodes of the Wiki World Order report will be case studies in SPINformation by analyzing personal examples of the mainstream outlets I enjoy listening to most. I will look at key points where they differ with my interpretation of reality, in hopes of learning to consider more critically those outlets who might otherwise take my trust for granted.

No matter what information you regularly take in, please frequently remind yourself of the bias inherent to your preferred outlets, and do your best to drop emotional attachment to things you think you know. And even better, please BECOME your own media outlet. You can start just by really studying any topic which interests you. Then create anything to share what you’ve learned with your friends. Don’t be scared to fail, that’s the only way to learn! This process really tests your understanding and then gets you some feedback.

One of the key underlying solutions to ALL of the overwhelming problems we face is a resurgence of methodical, critical thinking. Net Neutrality

Chances are, that by now you’ve heard of the concept of “Net Neutrality“. It basically means that everyone connected to the internet should have equal access to all web sites on the internet. Right now, we are quite dependent on the internet as a society, and can currently find infinitely unique sources of information. But the big telecommunications players want to change that, just as they did with radio waves and televisions decades ago.

For many years now, a handful of the biggest phone and cable companies have wanted to create premium lanes on the web and make sites pay more money to use them, with preference to their business partners of course. Everyone else will get the slow lane. One group working on this next paradigm is named Internet2. They said “the internet is dead,” by the late 90s, and have built a super fast fiber-optic network for “more than 200 U.S. universities in cooperation with 70 leading corporations, 45 government agencies, laboratories and other institutions of higher learning as well as over 50 international partner organizations.” Many fear that when the time is right, the big corporate stakeholders will stop providing widespread access to the current internet, and replace it with this much more controlled and censored system. It might only have a few thousand sites on it, and people without site licenses would be limited to space within a site, like we currently have on MySpace. They will also argue that we must give up our anonymity if we want to be safe on the internet.

In the future, will you be able to rely on broadcasting your voice via universally public lanes? Will you be able to afford getting your voice heard through mainstream toll roads? We must continue to fight to maintain our net’s neutrality, and we have recently seen threats like the big Google-Verizon deal. So if you like cat videos, and you haven’t already, please go to SaveTheInternet.com NOW to sign their petition, and call your representatives in Congress to tell them to protect net neutrality.

Another potential censorship threat is bill introduced in the Senate on September 20th, S. 3804, the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act. Media outlet Broadcasting & Cable reports that “the bill would give the Justice Department more power to shut down Web sites that illegally stream or sell TV shows and movies. After the bill was introduced, there was almost immediate pushback from fair use groups concerned the bill could throttle services like YouTube before they ever got started….The bill as introduced would give Justice more power to pull the plug on U.S. sites it found to be offering ‘infringing content’ by suspending the domain name of the offender.” So this bill is also worth investigating more and please consider signing the petition against this “Internet Blacklist bill” by browsing to demandprogress.org/blacklist.

Cybersecurity

Also right now in Congress, there are bills with bipartisan co-sponsors named the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010 (aka the PCNAA, S.3480, H.R.5548). When the original version of this bill was first introduced last spring, John D Rockefeller IV (aka Jay Rockefeller) had this to say:

When the internet was invented, everyone fell flat on their face they were so thrilled and the world began to do business in a different way. Now both President Bush’s Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell, who I greatly respect, and President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence Admiral Blair, who I greatly respect, have labeled cybersecurity perpetrated through the internet as the number one national hazard of attack on the homeland…. So I mean it really almost makes you ask the question, “Would it have been better if we had never invented the internet, and had to use paper and pencil or whatever?” – and that’s a stupid thing to say, but it has genuine consequence. – Jay Rockefeller on CSPAN

There are some basic threats parroted by political leaders to justify centralizing command for ”cybersecurity,” including claims like…

#1. Common email spam and computer viruses are a significant problem. But I argue these issues are inherit in our free internet and we will continue to combat them by downloading software patches and spam filters as needed.

#2. Hackers (or cyber-warriors, cyber-spies, cyber-terrorists, or cyber-criminals), foreign or domestic, will continue trying to hack into publicly web-accessible banking systems and the Open Government Initiative, Gov 2.0, where we see more government forms and services going online. But I argue this does not justify changing how the rest of the internet works…those services are responsible for their own security if they wish to interact on the public internet. Furthermore, as well-known computer security and cryptography expert Bruce Schneier says, “in the cryptography world, we consider open source necessary for good security; we have for decades…. For us, open source isn’t just a business model; it’s smart engineering practice.”

#3. Hackers might hack into our country’s power grid and bring down large swaths of our access to electricity and other core infrastructure. But I argue just as with highly sensitive military systems and top secret information, there is no reason that these systems should be connected to the public internet if they are so vulnerable. Such systems should be on completely separate networks using Open Source security solutions, and should not need to infringe on the free internet.

This bill currently in Congress amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and other laws to “enhance the security and resiliency of the cyber and communications infrastructure of the United States.” As CNet said on June 10th, 2010, it will ”grant the president far-reaching emergency powers to seize control of or even shut down portions of the Internet“ during a state of emergency. On June 20th, Joseph Lieberman said this on CNN:

Cyber war is going on in some sense right now. … And we need this capacity in a time of war. We need the capacity for the president to say, Internet service provider, we’ve got to disconnect the American Internet from all traffic coming in from another foreign country, or we’ve got to put a patch on this part of it. The president will never take over — the government should never take over the Internet. Listen, we’ve consulted, Senator Collins and I, who are proposing this bill, with civil liberties and privacy experts. This is a matter of national security. A cyber attack on America can do as much or more damage today by incapacitating our banks, our communications, our finance, our transportation, as a conventional war attack. And the president, in catastrophic cases — not going to do it every day, not going to take it over. So I say to my friends on the Internet, relax…(LAUGHTER)… take a look at the bill. And this is something that we need to protect our country. Right now, China, the government, can disconnect parts of its Internet in a case of war. We need to have that here, too. – Joseph Lieberman on CNN, 6/20/2010

So instead of keeping critical and “vulnerable” infrastructure systems off the public internet, the solution being promoted is to give the White House a kill-switch for the web (via the big Internet Service Providers). This may only apply to emergency situations, but we also know very well that such situations can be easily manufactured by rogue elements of the corporate-industrial complex (see Episode 3 of the Wiki World Order report on False Flag attacks). It is also ridiculously difficult to transparently prove the source of sophisticated cyber attacks, so today’s cyber emergency situations can be easily manipulated.

Surely, as internet users we should keep educating each other to stay safe online, and to some extent our government will always need to spend resources on cyber defenses (ideally in fully open source processes). But similar to the War on Terror and “defensive” biological weapons research, we cannot fuel industries for yet another arms race. We do not want to design offensive cyber-weapons to be used preemptively against other countries or groups (as it appears we already are). We do not want such programs in the hands of secretive organizations like the National Security Agency. We must instead use more of our resources to work towards resolving the root causes for which such terrorism is a symptom.

And it must be noted that there are big industries already capitalizing on these promoted threats. On May 17th, Wired’s Danger Room reported that “Booz Allen Hamilton — the defense contractor that’s become synonymous with the idea that the U.S. is getting its ass kicked in an ongoing cyberwar — has racked up more than $400 million worth of deals in the past six weeks to help the Defense Department fight that digital conflict.”

We must also ensure that the recent release of military information by WikiLeaks does not lead towards clamping down on the internet, as some executive branch narratives have hinted.

I strongly recommend that all my listeners absorb the Intelligence Squared US debate from June 8th titled “The Cyber War Threat Has Been Grossly Exaggerated.” It is a superb discussion of both sides of these issues, with just about the best participants anything mainstream could hope for…which is what makes Intelligence Squared debates so great even though their discussions still have blind spots.

Sure, very few bills will end up passing right now, so late in this session. But on September 21st, a spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told Reuters that the draft bill of the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act is “something that we hope to be able to pass before the end of the year, if we can.” So whether you like online news, games, sitcoms, soap operas, sports, cat videos, or researching the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg Group…your free access is at risk.

And remember, last year the Patriot Act was renewed under President Obama and we are still LOSING the fight to restore our Constitution and non-digital rights. So please tell your representatives in Congress to reject the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act and help defend against recent attacks on net neutrality. Tell them we should instead move any vulnerable infrastructure systems to separate, secure networks based on open source security.

We must constantly defend our internet, because it is the single biggest threat to the establishment, the Corporate-Industrial Complex. And remember…

We now see Americans increasingly rebelling against the endless predictable crises promoted by the established left and right throughout this decade. Even the mainstream media has had to cover such transitions both parties must undergo.

Acknowledgment of the corruption found on both sides of the political aisle is one of the core concepts which amazing outlets like We Are Change, Infowars and the Corbett Report attempt to spread. I have always found the current two-party system completely inadequate for aggregating the will of the people. I have long adored the idea of having either more parties or no parties.

On larger issues, both parties give us the same results. On smaller manufactured issues, the polarizing effects of having primarily two extreme camps to choose from is hurting more than helping. The negative effects of such polarization also skyrocket when single ideologies are forced on all scenarios, instead of a more flexible case by case basis.

Fortunately the freedom movement has loud voices warning people not to follow any one ideology. So this is a humble request for everyone to keep pushing past the confines separating us, to keep finding increasingly targeted solutions to counter-offer those provided from the top-down system. Avoiding the following two pitfalls might help the movement hone our arguments and improve the messaging of our alternative analysis of deep politics.

More Government VS Less Government?
No. Quality Over Quantity.

The first pitfall I see appeals to many of my good patriot friends who stand firmly behind slogans for “Less Government.” To my eyes and ears, such statements feel a bit counterproductive to our shared goals.

The concept of “Less Government” (or “More Government” for that matter) is vague enough to be co-opted by almost any harmful solution provided. This formula should also not be endlessly applied, and our libertarian friends sometimes follow this mantra far too blindly. Most importantly, the slogan implies that the size of government has a causal relationship with its level of corruption or negative impact. Larger organizations of any type may have more room for bad apples to hide and prosper, but they also have potential for greater good as they grow, like Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. So I argue that our society’s policies and incentives, promoted by our manufactured culture, have far greater influence on the positive or negative nature of the impact of organizations (governmental or not).

With a smaller government than our current monstrosity, in a similarly apathetic political climate, it might be even easier for a given corporation to influence the government and its policies. At the same time, there is a real threat of “Big Government” when corporations can entrench entire departments. They are pro-actively using government agencies to directly enact their corporate agenda and creatively increase their government contracts and budgets in order to keep growing.

We saw this quite publicly during George W Bush’s years as the military-industrial puppet, when in that “small government” administration we saw corporate-owned departments strip themselves down as much as possible, completely disassembling any form of meaningful regulation over themselves. A fresh and painful example of this came to light with the documented failures of the Minerals Management Service to provide any meaningful oversight or regulation on British Petroleum’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig. But don’t worry, the department has been re-branded as the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement so we should probably assume it’s all fixed. Our current, predictable “Great Recession” also could have been avoided or at least postponed if trillions of dollars in profit incentives had not been allowed to manifest in the first place as derivatives, sub-prime mortgages and other legal Ponzi schemes.

But if the incentives of our culture were shifted enough, and more procedures were made ~100% transparent to the public, we might be able to find some governmental G spot where the government actually reflects the public’s interest. This may be theoretical, but it should be nearly attainable, not even requiring a revolution but incremental changes in the correct direction. And isn’t this what we should be striving for: an ever more pure realization of those constitutional ideals inspiring us to believe in our remarkable republic, or democracy?

But this process must begin with all deliberate speed. The Tea Parties, initially started years ago by the Ron Paul rEVOLution, were recently co-opted and largely taken over by the GOP in 2009…at least as far as the mainstream eye can see. And I give props to the now very rare Tea Party candidates and their supporters who remain opposed to the GOP, and are willing to keep thinking outside of the mainstream box and trying new things…no matter how distasteful some of their select views may be to me.

On the other side, Democrats don’t seem to be promoting interesting candidates to vote FOR, and are settling in for classic fights for the lesser of two evils…despite ever present disapproval for congress and their utter failure to progress in the past two years. I need to see more liberal candidates to grow balls as big as those rare tea partiers, resisting the lame/moderate/useless Democratic party line…no matter how distasteful select views of theirs may be to me.

The causality implied between more government and bad government does not seem theoretically sound. With a truly responsible government, an increase in size could simultaneously increase citizen freedoms. We must look at the results of our government’s efforts, and its degree of transparency, in order to judge it. We need to focus on uprooting the incentives for corruption in government, perhaps starting with campaign finance reform and revolving door protections, instead of just saying we want to change its size. A wise woman once told me it is not really the size of your government that matters, it’s all about how you use it.

The Capitalism VS Socialism Paradigm

This paradigm is even more polarizing, and I consider it another ridiculous pitfall. Capitalism and socialism often represent the only two options offered to align with, but we don’t even consider trying to come up with any new forms of national economic or governmental organization. Case by case, those rooting for capitalism might tend to dismiss socialist solutions, and vice versa…staying loyal to their dominant ideology. But as humans we sometimes get trapped into acting like these ideologies are some mythical unified theory.

How many “socialized” or “nationalized” services and industries does the public generally approves of? I think of “free” government services like the Highway System, Federal Waterways, National Park Service, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Bureau of Prisons, Census Bureau, Social Security, Small Business Administrations and of course, THE MILITARY and the services for veterans. And how many “capitalist” services does the public generally approve of? And are we the people currently healthy and happy with the choices provided for necessities like our food, housing, health care and energy?

From the start, our country (and most “developed” countries) has used a collection of “capitalist” and “socialist” tools. For an added challenge, try to factor in the constant increase of private contractors used by nationalized services, like with Blackwater and Halliburton. A September ProPublica headline highlights a classic example of this: “This Year, Contractor Deaths Exceed Military Ones in Iraq and Afghanistan.” Even better are the number of recent cases we’ve seen where the profits were privatized while the risks were socialized, such as the painful bank bailouts and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

I also think the nature of who or where the finances come from to run our government should be a critically important factor in what people think is worth paying for. Just 100 years ago, typical American citizens did not pay ANY income tax. Now Fortune 500 companies just move to the Cayman Islands and in August of 2008, CNN reported:

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) examined samples of corporate tax returns filed between 1998 and 2005. In that time period, an annual average of 1.3 million U.S. companies and 39,000 foreign companies doing business in the United States paid no income taxes – despite having a combined $2.5 trillion in revenue.

The study showed that 28% of foreign companies and 25% of U.S. corporations with more than $250 million in assets or $50 million in sales paid no federal income taxes in 2005. Those companies totaled a combined $372 billion in sales for the largest foreign companies and $1.1 trillion in revenue for the biggest U.S. companies.

I strongly oppose any Bush-style income tax cuts which worsen our wealth disparities. But I do like the idea of taxes being collected from corporations where profits are created from business models, instead of collecting from a laborer’s wages. There are also many who argue that our income tax of last 100 years is even unconsititutional, and I think this is a topic worth considering. For more info on this, you might start your research by watching Aaron Russo’s 2006 film, America: Freedom to Fascism.

The point of terms like ‘crony capitalism’ or ‘predatory capitalism’ is to point out just how far we are from the pure idealized form of capitalism touted by talking heads, or even Adam Smith. It seems the massive mutant capitalist corporations have become so efficient at their business that they went ahead and took over our governments for us, saving us the trouble of regulating those companies. But if we reign in the corporate-industrial complex soon, and we force our government to start buying solar panels instead of bombs, we will encourage the growth and development of less destructive markets.

Unfortunately these ‘ism’s may be false options on yet another level. Because for decades now, our country might best be defined as fascist. This is rooted in the comprehensive corporate influence on the most important functions of government, and controlling both candidates in a single-party state. It might also be defined as a plutocracy (or corpocracy, or corporatocracy) — whatever it is, it has now emerged quite clearly.

I also find it bizarre that there is such passion for any of these existing economic systems, as we have seen examples of all of them producing failed states when implemented inappropriately…bringing us back my focus on quality over quantity. Our capitalist experiment has been going for just a few hundred years, and this current incarnation of crazed crony-capitalism has clearly dominated at least for the past three decades.

Our form of capitalism has been incentivized by selfish wealth maximization without regard to externalities, while providing amazing technological advances with potential for enormous benefits for our species in the long run. But the jury is still out due to our pollution, loss of biodiversity, food mono-cultures, unregulated GMOs, and nuclear and biological weapons industries. But at least we’ve got record-high wealth disparities.

The final problem I have with these false options is that capitalism and socialism don’t seem to be mutually exclusive. As Noam Chomsky says, there is no reason businesses cannot be managed democratically, controlled by their workers and community, and compete with other businesses managed the same way and others. But there are other ways to improve the capitalism formula without even giving up the typical management hierarchies of today’s world.

Social Businesses and Nu Capitalism

One of my dad’s core mantras I’ve adopted is about looking for the right questions to ask. Despite Chomsky’s blind spots and/or self-censoring on select topics he is of course brilliant and inspiring, and he is a relatively early influence on my world view. I really like his approach on this (click here for video):

“We don’t have capitalism, it’s nothing remotely like it. We have some various varieties of state capitalism, including the USSR. That was one variety of state capitalism, was based on wage labor, on management control, central coordination of production. In fact its’ in many ways very much like corporate capitalism. It’s just a different kind of organization.

So of the various kinds of state capitalism that are around, which are the best? I don’t honestly think that’s the kind of question we should be asking. Suppose you’re in the 18th century. Should you be asking, ‘Which is the best kind of feudalism?’ I mean that’s all it was. So which is the best kind of feudalism, and slavery, and monarchy and so on and so forth. It just wasn’t the right question. I mean the right question is, ‘Is there something better?’ Like say, parliamentary democracy. Even though there were no examples of it. There were seeds of it, but no functioning examples. I mean seeds of had it been developed and usually crushed, as in England, but these were legitimate struggles. And you know, they succeeded. I mean by now you have parliamentary democracies, which aren’t fantastic but are better than feudalism.” – The World: The Noam Chomsky Sessions

So suppose you’re in the 21st century, what is the best kind of capitalism? What is the best kind of socialism? Is capitalism better than socialism, or vice versa? Why are we limited to these options?

Currently, businesses think they must only compete by maximizing-profits in ways which are very selfish and short-sighted. But this is just how we’ve been taught to play, and what consumers have been taught to buy. Businesses used to be thought of as helpful members of their communities, not psychopaths. If you haven’t yet, please watch the 2003 film titled, “The Corporation.”

Capitalism is very flexible, and we must stop supporting large-scale businesses which make themselves legally bound to maximize profits for shareholders no matter the side-effects. We must support businesses which try to maximize benefits for all dimensions of human life. But customers and investors must take more initiative to carefully vote daily with their dollars for social-benefit-maximizing businesses which show enough conscience to mitigate their externalities while providing the world beneficial products and services.

In the “Nu Capitalism” paradigm, the companies which provide the most net social benefit will also be the most profitable. Let me repeat that. In the “Nu Capitalism” paradigm, the companies which provide the most net social benefit WILL ALSO BE THE MOST PROFITABLE.

The Social Business model of maximizing social-benefit is a marvelous idea championed by Muhammad Yunus. Yunus pioneered the potentially world saving concept of microcredit when starting Grameen Bank in Bangladesh in 1976 which is credited for bringing millions out of poverty. Wikipedia describes the Grameen Bank as

…a microfinance organization and community development bank … that makes small loans (known as microcredit or “grameencredit”) to the impoverished without requiring collateral. … The system of this bank is based on the idea that the poor have skills that are under-utilized. A group-based credit approach is applied which utilizes the peer-pressure within the group to ensure the borrowers follow through and use caution in conducting their financial affairs with strict discipline, ensuring repayment eventually and allowing the borrowers to develop good credit standing.

I will discuss microcredit more in a future episode on why and how we should End The Federal Reserve. And I strongly recommend you explore this concept and this beautiful human much more, but here is a quick excerpt to whet your appetite:

Muhammad Yunus – The Social Business Model

This general concept of a social business is also finally catching hold in America. Yunus was just last year awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama. And a few test-runs of similar microcredit banks are finally being started up in America.

B Corporation (B Labs) is a leading firm to certify businesses adhering to enough social business principles. According to their web site, over 300 companies have become certified with a branded B Corporation status since 2006, including one I always see at the store named Seventh Generation. The 315 businesses represent $1.5 billion in revenues and 54 industries.

There is a parallel movement around the country to grant legal tax status to B Corporations which will offer various benefits back to these businesses. Already, my home state of Maryland signed the nation’s first Benefit Corporation legislation on April 13th and Vermont passed it on May 19th of this year. Whether or not your state is ready for it yet, your business can start NOW by taking a confidential survey on their website to learn what areas they need improvement on, to work towards a longer-term goal of becoming fully certified, or just becoming a Social Business.

Dollar votes are currently the most powerful form of voting we have, far better than false choice A or B every 2 to 4 years. Quick resources of information needed to educate our daily decisions will be in higher demand, like the The Better World Handbook and a very intriguing iPhone App called the GoodGuide. The GoodGuide app takes advantage of the Universal Product Code system and allows you to scan product barcodes at the store with your iPhone’s REGULAR CAMERA (not the special barcode scanner) and pulls up a quick rating of the product and the company that makes it. It gives four scores for each product scanned: Health, Environment, Society, and an Overall Rating, plus more detailed breakdowns if you’re interested. It of course doesn’t have every product in the world rated yet, but the app is free and you can suggest new items to be rated if you don’t find them in there.

GoodGuide is also certified as a B Corporation, but just like with food, we must perpetually fight to ensure product labeling is as honest, accurate and informative as possible. This is absolutely essential. There is also a separate problem of people buying all the totally useless sh*t they don’t need, whether or not it is made by a good company in a good way. We call this “trinket capitalism.”

So tools like the GoodGuide are already helping consumers take charge of their purchasing powers to make capitalism more consciously democratic. But at the same time, wise progressive businesses will find more ways of clearly posting (and lying about) how good their products are for the health of your mind, body, community, society and world. Already, the battle is on for proper labeling of organic or non-GMO foods. But companies can, and hopefully will, also start directly labeling their products with something like their GoodGuide scores or B Corporation ratings to make it easier for consumers to choose their products over others.

Used alone, neither left nor right, neither more nor less government, neither capitalism nor socialism can save us. So let us please not choose our preferred solutions solely because they fit into one ideology or another. We need to rationally look at the situation and find the maximum good we can muster, no matter what ‘ism’ it implies.

Either ideology, taken to the extreme, can become quite a scary beast, so please don’t use them as your primary basis for every decision. We cannot be tempted to just vote with our party on every issue…are we voting for the lesser of two evils? Such ideologies are like many drugs, which can only be used safely in moderation.

‘Do you lean towards Capitalism or Socialism?’ – Nope, I’m mostly into Social Businism!

In this current economic transition, we need to replace a portion of the worthless trinket capitalism products and services, as well as industries of destruction, with social businesses. We must compete with the corporate-industrial complex, first targeting the industries vital to human life and well-being. With the proper public education via accurate product labeling and wider accessibility to healthier products, we can gradually shift to only pay for products made with our long-term interest in mind, instead of someone else’s bottom-line.

We absolutely need our key industries to start offering competitive Social Business options in the marketplace. There will also always be room for profit-maximizing businesses to coexist, but the decision between social businesses or purely profit-maximizing options would be in the hands of consumers. Simultaneously, we need efforts to upgrade labeling to help customers support healthier options for our minds, bodies, communities, societies and planet.

We can fight with our dollars NOW. We can buy products from Social Businesses NOW. We can start Social Businesses NOW. We can start converting our current employers into Social Businesses NOW. Why wait for Washington when we can make these moves ourselves?

In the 21st century, we the people of the world will do everything possible to ensure that companies which provide the most net benefit to the world WILL ALSO BE THE MOST PROFITABLE companies in the world.

False Flag Boycott: The Hegelian Dialectic Resistance Pact, version 1.0

If there is any form of terrorist attack not openly and officially claimed by any foreign government, we the people will not support any reactions of aggression or war against anyone, foreign or domestic. Instead we support the forming of a commission to investigate the goals of the (alleged) terrorists, in an honest effort to understand the root CAUSES, of which violence is a symptom, and analyze potential responses with legislative and diplomatic concessions. In even the very worst case, any violence in reaction must be respectively equal or lesser than the violence inflicted upon us.

This means that in the event of any crises, we the people will be looking very critically at ANY voices looking to ESCALATE violence. We will be looking at the parties with the most to gain in wealth, power or position. We will be looking at documented financial transactions proving foreknowledge of any such events. We will be looking for cover-up commissions which ignore evidence or allow it to be destroyed.

We recognize that for the past century, the United States of America is in fact the LARGEST EXPORTER OF TERRORISM IN THE WORLD. For this reason, we the people will also be listening to any VALID concerns and demands of such terrorists willing to give their lives trying to tell us their message. We the people support reductions to our Anglo-American imperialist actions and bases around the world. We think these types of changes in our reactions will reduce the number terrorists, and feed them less hate to live off of. First we must stop impeding the freedom and self-determination of other nations, if we are to expect it in return. For more details on this, see the Golden F*CKING Rule. This change in paradigm and policy is not seen as a concession, but as truly logical steps in the right direction for the best of all parties.

Let me be clear: I DO NOT IN ANY WAY CONDONE ANY FORM OF VIOLENCE, and I know that we the people around the world will ONLY win through non-violent methods. I would never never never commit suicide, as there is much to much beauty in this world even though it’s bittersweet and f***ed up…you can do so much more in life than death. Now, this is just my humble opinion, but why are we so quick to dismiss the wishes, goals or demands of [alleged] terrorists? When absorbing information at our preferred flicker-rate, we very easily buy into the ideas of our favorite talking heads. But how many of those heads believe so strongly in what they are saying and doing that they would die for their cause? How many have root goals of money, fame and/or power?

If, as a society, we have driven anyone to feel that their only option is to turn to violence or even self-sacrifice, then is it not our duty to take that serious look in the mirror and figure out how to inch our country towards growing up, instead of punching back in blind rage every time? Oh, yea and these people attack us because they “hate our freedom,” and to deal with their jealousy they attack us, instead of freeing themselves. — Oh wait, WE are actually the ones oppressing them in THEIR HOME, whether there is a physical or military occupation or not.

But aside from the intent, views or demands of terrorists, we must also have more critical reactions to crises themselves. This is because of the thoroughly documented history of the agility of some governments to stage acts of terrorism and frame the enemies of their choice, and the massive expansion of government secrecy ever since the Manhattan Project and the creation of the Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA has only increased this. We the people have NO OVERSIGHT to shed light on a significant portions of our own government which do significant damage to our world…and we claim to be a “free” “democracy”.

In some well-planned crimes, a criminal plants evidence to throw the cops onto the wrong trail, or even to actively setup and blame someone else. When the crime is an act of terrorism, this form of framing someone is called a “False Flag” attack, and we know this is not just a thing of history. In October of 2008, Wiki Leaks released a US Special Forces counterinsurgency manual which had been US Army policy since 1994 and teaches about the staging of false flag attacks for these same purposes of psychological warfare in the countries we are occupying.

Now, if you’re new to the Infowars (Infowars.com), you might not have heard the term “false flag.” You also may not have also heard of the Hegelian Dialectic. It makes for a bit of a cumbersome title for my little pact, but this phrase could use a serious Colbert Bump in the mass consciousness. Wikipedia describes the Hegelian Dialectic as:

“usually presented in a three-fold manner…comprising three dialectical stages of development: a thesis, giving rise to its reaction, an antithesis, which contradicts or negates the thesis, and the tension between the two being resolved by means of a synthesis.”

This strategic method of Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis is also known as ‘Order Out Of Chaos’ (by Paul Joseph Watson) or Problem-Reaction-Solution. One of the most classic examples is Adolf Hitler’s use of this tool just four weeks after becoming Chancellor of Germany.

PROBLEM: There was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, the home of the German Parliament, in Berlin on February 27, 1933.

REACTION: Wikipedia explains that the fire was used as evidence by the Nazis that the Communists were beginning a plot against the government.

SOLUTION: This was used to justify and pressure widespread suspension of civil liberties, mass arrests, and the Nazis took majority power, only consolidating from there on out.

Problem. Reaction. Solution. Hello World War II.

Most of us cannot fathom attacking people of our own country…or ANYONE for that matter! But we can see examples of many leaders, past and present, near and far, who clearly do not share this conscience. But how many of those leaders, considered horrific in retrospect, had the support of significant portions of their populations leading right up until atrocities start…and even beyond? We must be able to recognize that tyrants rarely come out of nowhere, and even democracies can allow for a slow and consensual takeover by one faction which is just as comprehensive. Luckily, such a takeover is also a house of cards, falling if we can only focus our vision on it enough to call out the myths in the foundation.

America has long passed the tyrant standard, effectively finding ways to kill MILLIONS around the world, in most decades of the past century. With the most advanced forms of propaganda known to history, much of the population need not worry about our exported atrocities…vigilant for better footing the in the rat race while skyscrapers play empire builder. So I vote for voluntarily giving up our empire to return to being a regular country which obeys the rules of war and human decency…the golden rule…before everything is taken from us in retaliation.

Please understand, I have immense gratitude and respect for all the troops in harms way on all sides. They are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, theoretically defending their respective theoretical freedom. My own pops served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and I am really glad it helped him overcome some fears — like trying pizza for the first time as a young picky eater — but it did significantly form him and make him the man he is. We all know how painfully pointless and costly that whole war was looking back at the Fog of War, but it was not pointless just because of the idiotic counterinsurgency strategy. It was also pointless because the Gulf of Tolkin incident was not a legitimate reason to initiate a war IN THE FIRST PLACE. The PROBLEM for which a previously intended REACTION AND SOLUTION could be provided.

Just recently in 2008, the National Security Agency was forced to release documents and Steven Aftergood, director of the Federation of American Scientists project on government secrecy, told Agence France-Presse (AFP):

“What this study demonstrated is that the available intelligence shows that there was no attack. It’s a dramatic reversal of the historical record….There were previous indications of this but this is the first time we have seen the complete study,” Aftergood said.

Now we were duped into this major war of my father’s generation and if this is news to you, many apologies….from the mainstream media. We were also duped into the main wars of my generation. Everybody is familiar with Bush Junior’s alleged WMDs (Weapons of Mass Destruction), right?

PROBLEM: Saddam Hussein and the country of Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction!

REACTION: This somehow threatens us, and what if the smoking gun comes in the form of…

SOLUTION: Mission Accomplished! BUT, even if one did feel that [this] situation warranted the preemptive invasion of another country, we would surely not be in this situation had our government not supported Saddam Hussein for at least a decade prior to our wars there. This was a repeat of a decade earlier with Bush Senior.

It often surprises me how a president or administration can be simultaneously widely known for lying, while also being believed on other critical and related issues. The administration successfully silenced dissenters in its own agencies and manipulated all the intelligence to make their case on weapons of mass destruction to the United Nations. But after we found out about these lies, we continue to believe much of the intelligence passed down to us.

What kind of crazed conspiracy theory is 19 hijackers from caves defeating the most robust and expensive military-industrial complexes on the planet…four times in one day?! In the week following, the BBC and some other ‘respectable’ news agencies reported that several of those alleged hijackers were still alive and had been in the middle east at the time of the attacks. Though five years later, the BBC explained this was an error: cases of mistaken identity. But whichever side of this aspect of the story is correct, the Federal Bureau of Investigation to this day has never listed the atrocities of 9/11 on their Most Wanted poster for Osama Bin Laden. This is because there is simply not enough evidence to accuse him of these crimes in a court of law…let alone to start wars with sovereign nations.

But why is it so hard for us to understand, and accept, that [rogue] elements within our own government were capable of pulling off the attacks on 9/11? You might have been scared away from information about “9/11 conspiracy theories” because some presentations try to inject religion or race, which has helped divide and conquer the 9/11 Truth movement more in the past. Personally, I think if there is any single group responsible for these attacks, it is more likely they only share a geopolitical philosophy or life strategy/attitude, not a specific religious sect. But more importantly, we do not have enough information to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the suspects on our list are guilty. Hence the 9/11 Truth movement generally just fights for a new investigation and to END THESE ORWELLIAN WARS.

Let me briefly explain why I started researching 9/11. That day, I was baffled and offended at the instant war drum beat and the quick certainty in targeting the enemy, Osama bin Laden within minutes…it smelled fishy from the start. But in the coming years, there were major problems with the official story which forced me to keep researching: PHYSICS, my personal favorite of the hard sciences.

In New York that day, two planes hit two buildings and three buildings collapsed. Yes, THREE buildings collapsed that day. Have you heard of World Trade Center 7, the third building which collapsed later that day on 9/11? If not, please Google “WTC 7″ after this episode. ALL THREE of these buildings collapsed at nearly free-fall speed, in 10 to 15 seconds, into their respective footprints. This means that the tops of the World Trade Center buildings fell nearly as fast as they would have if only AIR was beneath them, or a vacuum. But in a world where the basic laws of physics apply (quantum physics miracles aside), all of that steel and concrete below the tops of those buildings should have offered tons of resistance. I finally brought this simple science experiment to perform for people at this month’s street action on the 11th in San Francisco.

According to all video and seismic records, the tops of the buildings in fact managed to fall through the path of MOST resistance through the entire building below, instead of falling off the sides of the buildings which would have offered no resistance. Furthermore, if Al-Qaeda really wanted to inflict maximum damage and death on the people of New York, it would be infinitely easier to make the building topple over to the side than imploding it completely into its own footprints.

It takes a highly scientific controlled demotion team usually days to setup for the collapse of building that large, specifically so that they fall in their own footprint. So, according to the 9/11 Commission Report, it seems like controlled demolition companies should be thinking about just using airplanes to collapse buildings into their footprint instead of wasting all that time ‘planning.’ WTC 1, 2 and 7 were also the first three, and last three large steel buildings to collapse from fire and damage IN HISTORY.

Now despite loving physics most of my life, I majored in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, and you shouldn’t take my word alone for anything. So here is Stephen Jones…

My name is Dr. Stephen Jones. I have a PhD in physics from Vanderbilt University, 1978. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University, 1973, I graduated magna cum laude. After PhD work I did post-doctoral work at Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility.

In June 2007 I was examining a dust sample which I had obtained from Janette McKinley. I was using a loop and also just looking at it with my eyes and an ordinary optical microscope, although stereo so that I could see better in three dimensions. And what I found was a chip that looked like it might be a paint chip. I mean early on I was thinking, ‘maybe not too interesting.’

But this chip was rather striking in its appearance. It had an orange-red color first of all. And then I found several of these and they all had some gray material adhering to the side of the red material. So later we found multiple layers but most of these chips had two layer, red, gray. I did take one of these chips down to the electron microscope, the scanning electron microscope, and we looked at it with electron microscope and then we used a system where we could determine the elements. What we found in the red material is a combination of aluminum and iron oxide, and these are the components of thermite.

Of course now we looked with an electron microscope, we looked deeper and deeper, with higher and higher magnification. And I pulled in a colleague of mine Dr. Jefferey Farrer, he’s an expert on the electron microscope machine. So he actually broke a piece off of one of these red chips, and then later he did four different samples, broke a piece off, that gives you a fresh surface. Because in the dust there’s all sorts of stuff, there’s zinc and titanium and calcium, all sorts of stuff.

So he broke off a tip so he could look at a fresh surface. And then what you see in all four samples that we studied in this detail: carbon (which is significant), oxygen, iron and aluminum. We looked at this, and these again are the ingredients (except for the carbon) — and we found that experimenters working with super thermite trying to beef it up, make it more explosive, tailoring it to different weapons applications, they would have silicone in there and an organic material (which means a carbon). So a polymer such as viton (sp?) they would add to this to give it the properties they wanted.

So that fit. Now see that was surprising to me to find silicone and carbon, but then we find in the literature that’s what these guys are doing in the weapons labs, Livermore and Los Alamos. They’re adding organic because that gives you a gas production. When the thermite goes off now you also have gas production, which gives you the explosive force, for instance.

Take a sample of this red-gray chip material and run it through a very sensitive instrument called a differential scanning calorimeter. And he did that. What it does, you heat temperature slowly and a material will react if it’s going to. And if it reacts and produces heat, you’ll get a spike in your calorimeter. And then if it reacts quickly you’ll get a narrow spike. If it, say, burns over a long period of time you’ll see a big broad spike. And the total area there is the total amount of energy released, and it gives you a lot of information.

What we found – what Dr. Farrer found first, and he was real excited when he told me about this. He took one of these chips and he put it in the differential scanning calorimeter, and sure enough it went off at right about 430 centigrade. But more importantly the peak was high, which means a lot of energy released, and narrow, which means (in his terms) it blew up. You know, you say, ‘Man this is it, this stuff blows up.’ It behaves just like nano-th– it has the ingredients of nano-thermite.

He said, ‘Well there should be in a thermite reaction, you should produce molten iron.’ So you should see some spheres of iron. Think of spraying water in the air and you get droplets that are more or less spherical because the surface tension pulls the liquid into a sphere, it’s very simple. Same thing with molten iron from the thermitic reaction, whether it’s ordinary conventional thermite or this super nano-thermite, either way you get this molten iron and you should get these droplets of iron. So he said we’ve got to look for those. If you don’t find those, maybe who knows what it is. But we’ve got to find droplets of molten iron otherwise we’re not sure we have the thermite reaction — the thermitic reaction, in this case it is nano-thermite.

So we looked, and wow what a beautiful sight. As you look at this, after the red materials reacted there are these little spheres, just tons of them. And we compared the traces that we got in this sophisticated calorimeter with traces obtained with known thermite, and these are published data, and our peak is actually narrower. I mean this stuff goes off very rapidly, and with more energy than had been reported by these other researchers working with known nano-thermite.

- Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup

I used to go to the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) yearly for science competitions and that building and organization was like one of my heroes growing up. But here I feel this same organization is been now lying to me right to my face about the very laws of physics they helped instill in me 15 years ago. NIST is in charge of standards for hard core things like HOW MUCH ONE GRAM WEIGHS. How could its leadership betray such logic and trust for this cause?

Under pressure from the Bush administration, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) told the brave first responders they DID NOT need masks to protect them from the very toxic dust, and those most inspiring humans have kept painfully dying ever since. In August of 2003, the EPA published a report saying:

“The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) influenced, through the collaboration process, the information that EPA communicated to the public through its early press releases when it convinced EPA to add reassuring statements and delete cautionary ones.” – EPA

New York Daily News recently reported that Paula Rodriguez, 44, an New York Fire Department emergency medical technician, died May 30 of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, while pushing for important legislation for the needed care for all of the first responders and their families. It says she is one of 900 related first-responder deaths, but as New York Democrat Carolyn Maloney explains, “thousands of 9/11 first responders and survivors have serious illnesses that will require medical care for life, and our bill will ensure that they get the care they need.”

Some day, more American first-responders will have died from 9/11 than the 3,000 victims taken from us on that day. Just last month this issue has made it to congress again and I encourage all of my listeners to check the recent inspiring clip of Congressman Anthony Weiner defending a bill to improve aid for 9/11 first responders.

In the weeks after the tragic event, CBS and the San Francisco Chronicle among others reported on the millions made on the stock market that day. There was an notably high number of ‘put’ options, bets that the stock’s price would FALL, on American Airlines and United Airlines, the two airlines hijacked on 9/11. Despite plenty of solid leads for major red flags on prior knowledge to 9/11, the final 9/11 Commission Report contained this infamous and offensive statement:

“To date, the US Government has not been able to determine the origin of the money used for the 9/11 attacks. Ultimately the question is of little practical significance.” – Chapter 5

Also particularly interesting, one of the testimonies given before the 9/11 Commission, was by the Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta. Captured on CSPAN, preserved through You Tube, he says,

When I got to the White House, it was being evacuated. I met briefly with Richard Clark, a National Security Council staff member, who had no new information. Then the Secret Service escorted me down to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, otherwise known as the PEOC. …

I was made aware of it during the time that the airplane coming into the Pentagon. There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, “The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.” And when it got down to, “The plane is 10 miles out,” the young man also said to the vice president, “Do the orders still stand?” And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, “Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?”

This testimony was OMITTED by the final report, because it conflicted with Vice President Dick Cheney’s alibi. When Lee Hamiliton, the chair of the commission, was later asked about this, he said:

“I do not recall.” When pressed, he expands, “Well, we think that Vice President Cheney entered the bunker shortly before 10 o’clock. And there is a gap of several minutes there, where we do not really know what the Vice President really did. There is the famous phone call between the President and the Vice President. We could find no documentary evidence of that phone call.”

Most people also assume that these things could not be kept secret because someone in such a vast operation would blow the whistle. The problem there is that there have been several very public whistle-blowers regarding 9/11 like Sibel Edmonds, William Bergman, Coleen Rowley, J. Michael Springmann, Robert Wright, Indira Singh, Barry Jennings, and Richard Andrew Grove…but I guess they were not important enough to dominate news cycles.

I find all of this highly offense…HIGHLY OFFENSE. Who do they think they are?! Who do they think we are?! Why are they treating us like naive children with all of this propaganda used to overcome the basic laws of physics and rational logic. What kind of f*cked up game is this?!

In retrospect it feels like a horror movie with some open eyes in the audience yelling, “Don’t go in there! Don’t go into that mindset the bad guy led you right into! If you haven’t already, it is absolutely required that you find out what information is out there on this event…unless you wish to repeat history, and you wish your children to repeat history, and so on. Once you’re convinced of how appallingly ridiculous the official story for 9/11 is, you might want to watch Fabled Enemies to start investigating the leads as to who in fact carried the attacks out. These are all free online, just Google it, because I have only just scratched the surface.

You can search in AltBib.Com for every mainstream article presented in those films and read each entire article to see if the evidence is taken out of context, exaggerated or just to add or remove salt from your take on that piece of evidence. You can try to search for follow-up information on those documents to see if it was later refuted, etc. This process will continue being made easier by using my new tool on AltBib.Com, Research-Alongs…check it out, but there will be more on this coming later.

If this information is new to you, please do your best not to be afraid. It takes almost EVERYONE at least a year or two to really come to terms with most of the evidence against the official story. But at some point in the future, you will look back feeling more open-minded and enlightened, and more impressed with humanity’s ability to fight back with information, knowledge and the shining light of truth.

The 9/11 Truth movement is a truly awe-inspiring story of major underdogs with truth on their side, which I publicly joined all too late but followed from the start. For the past eight years I was effectively self-censored, completely silencing these views of mine for fear of diminishing credibility for my active, public and already stigmatizing work fighting to end the War on Drugs. But for a few years now there has just been far too much solid and scientific evidence to ignore this reality.

I don’t think we have enough evidence yet to know what really happened, but the last eight years of work in open source intelligence by the 9/11 Truth movement and its friends has provided ample evidence for a controlled demolition of the official narrative…into its own footprint. The 9/11 Commission was a cover-up of the highest order on par with the Warren Commission…we just don’t know what exactly was covered up.

So, PROBLEM: 9/11.

REACTION: War vs Anti-War.

SOLUTION: Removal of rights, then Mission Accomplished.

Instead of debating whether or not we should have gone to war, we first really needed to determine whether or not anyone from another country actually attacked us. We needed to first be absolutely sure that elements of our own government were not more responsible than other parties, and had not intentionally allowed the attacks to happen. We needed to investigate the crime first. Outside of shoot-em-up movies, are the police allowed to shoot up a whole neighborhood searching for someone, BEFORE proving beyond a reasonable doubt that they committed a crime? In this crime as much evidence as possible was destroyed, omitted or shielded with state secrecy and national security.

The narrative in the mainstream media was limited to debating whether or not we should go to war, not about the what actually happened and why. We have to learn from our history to see that many administrations are willing to lie during these situations to maximize their power, and to use the mainstream media to propagate these lies. And we ourselves must become more critical of the information we’re provided now that we live in an age of freedom of CHOICE OF INFORMATION.

Even the mainstream media has recognized the similarities between the current Iraq/Afghanistan wars and the Vietnam War from pretty early on, but we have not been able to stop our war machine. Eisenhower warned us, but now it’s all grown up. Now, these examples are offensively similar and blatant, but the formula applies many types of situations and scales. For example…

PROBLEM: Oklahoma City Bombing.

REACTION: Domestic extremists are a threat to national security.

SOLUTION: Increase targeting of domestic threats. “We’re going need to see some of those rights of yours — oh and if you agree our government has become oppressive, can you please hold this stigma.” The official story is that Timothy McVeigh accomplished this attack alone, and I feel confident enough that at least this is not true. But as always, WHETHER OR NOT there is a comprehensive conspiracy directly manifesting this event, THE RESULTS ARE THE SAME and the agenda of choice moves forward!

PROBLEM: Health Care crisis caused by decades of stalling without much needed reform to our greed-oriented health care system.

REACTION: Public Option vs Anti-Public Option.

SOLUTION: Corporate fallacio. A few nice concessions for a segment of the population, but overall will this really be a step in the right direction? Is it one step forward with two steps back? Take a look at poor Dennis Kucinich’s face on Democracy Now after he was persuaded by Obama during an Air Force One flight, into voting for the health care bill. Now I sure haven’t read the whole bill or attempted to understand it all, but my gut says there’s more cumulative help in there for Big Pharma than for average citizens not a part of the pharmaceutical or medical-industrial complex.

PROBLEM: British Petroleum’s (BP) Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

REACTION: ~Coming Soon??

SOLUTION: ~Coming Soon??.. But we do know that years ago BP did not spend the extra $500K on an acoustic switch system. They are legally required to use this fail-safe system in many other countries like Norway, but they did NOT have to in the United States. We do know we have problems with revolving doors between the most profitable industries and government offices. We do know that Goldman Sachs sold 43% of its BP shares during the first quarter of 2010. We do know that then BP CEO Tony Hayward sold 1.4 million pounds in BP shares, one third of his holdings, just 35 days before this disaster. We do know that BP put consistent intentional pressure to rush the pace beyond safe drilling practices, and continued despite a reported problem with the blowout preventer.

But maybe the most troubling thing is the response. I understand that BP is responsible for the cleanup, but they were the ones reckless enough to cause this situation, why would we trust them with the physical logistics of capturing and cleaning the spill oil? Is that not our nation’s oil and many nations’ ecosystems? So I can understand Obama’s hands off approach to a point, but after a week or two showing only signs of very poor cleanup work, it seems rational to do all we can to help and send BP the bill.

And WHY IN THE WORLD, would our government EVEN ALLOW BP to react to this record-breaking spill of toxic crude oil by adding record-breaking levels of Corexit to the mix?! Corexit is a product line of solvents used to disperse the oil, but it too is highly toxic and currently banned in the United Kingdom! Independent reporters in the gulf have sent samples of water to labs finding…

Day 70 -  Grand Isle, LA – Oil/Water samples from Gulf…VERY TOXIC – jamescfox

James Fox: Good morning world. We’re on the corner of Toulouse and Bourbon Street in New Orleans here. We just got back from Grand Isle, went and got these samples. It was pretty amazing, we ran into some workers that were working on the boats (some safety officers) which will remain nameless. And they invited us to go have a beer at the local bar there in Grand Isle. And after a couple of beers they introduced us to one of their coworkers who had collected oil 20 miles out on his boat and had given us a sample straight out.

Now all we can do is send these out and get some answers. We got this one from a shore break in Grand Isle. We got this one from the rock jetty in Grand Isle, right there at the very end, they call it the end of the world which is ironic, but that’s where we were. And this is the one we got from 20 miles out, you can see the oil blog right there.

Anonymous Lab Scientist On Phone: There is a lot of something that is not oil in the oil bugger, if you will, inside the water sample. And that’s why it wasn’t acting really like oil. Now I think a big clue were the results for the Propylene Glycol. Now I have a guestimate — I have an estimate here of how much is in there. Now the number I came up with was 430 parts per million (ppm). Okay that sounds — it’s actually a very large number for Propylene Glycol in water. That’s how much we’re getting from the water.

James Fox: What does that mean?

Scientist: What does that mean? Well let me put it this way, Propylene Glycol is actually part of Corexit, okay. So if I’m measuring 430ppm of Propylene Glycol in the water itself, this is just one part of Corexit…the Corexit itself has to be a much bigger number. And it turns out that the toxic level for Corexit for fish is 25ppm. So we’re measuring at least 425 as toxic in water. And if you’re in the presence of oil, if the fish encounters oil mixed in with Corexit it drops down to 2.6ppm as being toxic. So the sample you handed me is probably about 150 times the toxic level for fish. How’s that for a starter?

James Fox: You’re kidding me.

Scientist: No, I am not kidding you. So that’s just for the Propylene Glycol. Now that means, the fact that the Propylene Glycol is in the water, means that the other components of Corexit must also be in the water. And that means that anybody — that means this water is — well like I said, the fact that it was mixed with oil, that you had a sample there with oil in it, that means that the level of Corexit in that water was about 150 times the toxic level for fish. And for people that also certainly means that the number is way too high. So what I’m seeing here, you don’t even have to see the oil to be exposed to Corexit, because the Corexit is in the water, not only in the oil, it’s in the water itself. Because this G.C. I ran, I drew away from the oil, I did not get oil into the sample, it was just water. So I put just water in the machine, I’m getting 430ppm Propylene Glycol. And then of course the Propylene Glycol is considered to be a minor component, and that’s the stuff I was measuring. The Propylene Glycol itself is 430ppm, that’s just the Propylene Glycol that’s not the others. Those have to be even higher. If you add up all the components, that water was just jammed with stuff. The thing is that the level that you find on the surface is many times higher than what’s needed to kill fish. This stuff is hitting the beaches and it’s coming up as sea spray and people are breathing it. And that could explain — you know if you’re swimming in the stuff, if you’re breathing the stuff, you’re swallowing the stuff, you’re going to have problems. This reminds me, you know I’m thinking about those commercials from the governor of Florida saying “Don’t worry everything’s fine, come on down.” That reminds of that time when the EPA told the people at Ground Zero that there was no asbestos in the air. But there was. Okay. I don’t know where they are getting their information, but this water is poisonous.

Look, I sure don’t have all the facts on this spill yet, but it smells more than fishy. There seems to have been no real effort to prevent this crisis from happening or meaningful cleanup, while there are red flags pointing towards high-level foreknowledge and most solutions offered have made the problem worse either by increasing toxicity, or wasting time, or just burying the problem for some poor sap to find later.

So let us only support truly rational and appropriate solutions, if the administration or congress ever decide to use this crisis to move a political agenda forward. There is enough evidence here to treat all that has happened as somewhat intentional, which changes how we should react. I do not support environmental solutions which rely only on creating new carbon-based ponzi schemes, but more on modern environmentalism will come in an upcoming episode.

Look, we shouldn’t feel too bad, this method has been very effectively used to manipulate and control populations for hundreds if not thousands of years. But, now we have the internet and we must be striving to know ‘the truth’ of significant events in REAL TIME. In a democracy, how are we possibly content with our government keeping such large secrets from us for up to 50 years, when all the bastards are dead by the time the info is finally declassified.

But in this chess game we’ve got to assume they are many moves ahead of us, and they have prepared our reactions for us, leading us anywhere on the board we can be suckered into. We must stop letting them bait us, and must refuse the solutions promoted by the minions in the mainstream media who compress all responses to given events into roughly two.

Open Source Intelligence! In our modern world, post information revolution, there is no reason to keep most intelligence secret. Secrecy is being used as a form of power and manipulation…enabling the most evil of human capacities. We are now ready to enter a new paradigm for intelligence and national security.

If we publish all the information and intelligence we collect and make it public, it turns a significant part of the spy game upside-down and puts the power into the minds of the masses to come to our own conclusions about what we as a country should be doing. Currently all the actionable intelligence is all funneled — and usually only intentionally released — with no way for us to independently verify.

I strongly urge my listeners to watch a 2008 film named Secrecy. It powerfully provides both sides to these issues of intelligence and secrecy and is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. One of the key issues is that legislation during crisis is just the worst. And the big ballers playing at the level above the Presidential Puppet position sure know how to create atmospheres of crisis and perpetual fear. We are also being fed plenty of misinformation on both sides. On top of this, the narrow narratives we are restricted to in the mainstream or Congressional discussion have severely limited how rational, balanced and effective our solutions are. No truth can be found on only one dimension, and our public dialogues really need to step it up and ditch the sound byte media in the digital dust.

Even without crisis, the large pieces of legislation passed have most helped the same people who have already consolidated wealth and power. Corporations can spend 364 days a year hurting the world and donate one day’s worth of profits to a charity to act like a good guy. Similarly, the few kick-backs we the people actually get are usually far outweighed by the advancement of the goals of the Corporate-Industrial Complex. At least in my lifetime, I feel the average has been one step forward, two or four steps back…indifferent to which party is in power. I would like to see this aspect of the problem improved with serious campaign finance reform and an end to political parties, or at least this duopoly.

As something of a side-note, I think what the old paradigm calls “conservatives” or “republicans,” naturally more skeptical of government, are quite far ahead of “liberals” or “democrats” in their understanding of the grave nature of these issues and threats to our freedom. This despite the biggest false flag attack in recorded history with the left’s best enemy they could hope for, archnemesis George W Bush in the puppet post, but we couldn’t get it going. And now “our guy” is in power, and despite doing very little to satisfy promises to the progressive left, if we are not vigilant and talking with each other about false flag attacks, we will be fooled and the big ballers pulling the strings of the Obama administration, and of course the congress, will be able to use the next crisis for whatever they have in store for us. We must understand that MSNBC, CNN and ABC are just as bad as FOX and will lie to us whenever needed and possible, even they say things we like more.

This is particularly important because of the natural cycles of politics making this fall’s elections and uphill battle for the Democrats in power. Just last month the Financial Times reported:

“The bottom line here is that Americans don’t believe in President Obama’s leadership,” says Rob Shapiro, another former Clinton official and a supporter of Mr Obama. “He has to find some way between now and November of demonstrating that he is a leader who can command confidence and, short of a 9/11 event or an Oklahoma City bombing, I can’t think of how he could do that.”

Please let that sink in for a minute, and think about it later. We have seen countless public remarks like this over the years of the last decade from the Neo-Cons, like the report by the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) titled Rebuilding America’s Defenses, published the year before 9/11, they describe all the transformation they wish to see in the country and world. Then on page 51 the report explicitly says, “Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.” But Rob Shapiro’s recent comments are the most offensive similar comments which I have heard yet from the left, so we must remain 100% vigilant for any October surprises which may come this year, or every two years. And we must do our homework if we expect to keep return to a free democracy. We can no longer afford to restrict our discussions and solutions to the mainstream paradigm, and open source intelligence must win.

Whether or not this information is new to you, I recommend that all my listeners check out a brand new documentary which came out just in the last two months by Dan Dicks with Press For Truth, titled “United We Fall.” It is one of the best films I’ve seen on the North American Union and its ties to the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg Group. It’s definitely worth a watch and you can find it free online.

Now, it is true that when we discuss alternative theories of 9/11, we are talking about very shadowy circles of infinite power and danger, close to the centers of our countries’ public political arenas. The scope of these forces make one feel so awkward, scared and vulnerable — I imagine it feels like a spider is tip-toeing across your grundle — and it is no wonder we all go through denial at first. It has taken most of us a year or two after learning this painful information before we could really look it in the eye, and often another year or two before we could talk to anyone about it. But don’t be afraid, most of us in this fight are not here because of fear…we are angry and wish to counteract this evil we see with peace and love. We have simply looked at the evidence at hand, accounted for error bars on sources and information, and have found many alternative narratives to more closely resemble the reality we all sense. Of course please do not take my word for anything, a please do your own research, as it is the only way to come to your own conclusions.

Despite initial skepticism, I have been blown away over the years of how often there is in fact much more evidence, AND much more convincing evidence, for some “conspiracy theories” than for the official explanations — which are also in fact, usually conspiracies theories too, just with a different bad guy and narrative. The very label “conspiracy” is sometimes used intentionally as a slur, instructing the listener to dismiss, reject or deny anything said as “crazy.” Therefore we who try to approach these difficult topics often prefer to talk about these not as “conspiracy theories,” but just as an “alternate analysis” of an event — a competing theory to be weighed by the evidence at hand.

If you have yet to scratch the surface of such alternative analyses of our shared reality, then a very warm welcome to you. Do not be afraid. Such information may lead you to a very painful reality, but this is such an exciting time to be alive and we must learn from our mistakes if we wish to move forward at this critical period. No matter your familiarity with the information, I stronger encourage all of my listeners to check out the work of James Corbett with his Corbett Report at CorbettReport.com, Open Source Intelligence News. I found his work far later in my research than I would have liked, but he has really covered these topics in a format and voice I have long waited for. I thank him dearly for this, and request that you listen to any of his episodes which spark your interest, for I will usually only scratch the surface here.

A bit over a year ago, while diving into the difficult task of trying to convince my loved ones of my “crazy” beliefs regarding recent history, I had a desire to use some resource to quickly bring the few dozen key mainstream articles with the evidence vital to a few alternative theories. There were some good data dumps on specific topics, but I couldn’t find what I had in mind for the bigger, interconnected picture. My lazy, pass-the-buck first response was to contact Infowars and see if they already had such a thing or were interested in making one, since they are a key nerve [center] for the movement. Having professionally built web-based software for nearly a decade, it only took me a couple days without any response before I started coding.

I built a collaborative online research database to help me organize and backup all this key evidence and documentation which had convinced me of such crazy realities. I hastily named my database InfowarDocs.org, but after growing with it for over a year I have just renamed it AltBib.Com, aka AlternateBibliography.Com. I came to this name because it has essentially become a bibliography for many of the alternative theories, which ironically references mostly mainstream sources.

I basically use it to catalog articles, documents and some video clips I find somewhat compelling related to any of the topics which spark my interest. I use a heavy tagging method and backup the source document on my server, except for the last half of the videos posted (when there’s time). There are now over 4,700 links posted and 6,500 tags/keywords (and 46,000 linkages/taggings). So it’s a great resource for those documents on the tip of your tongue, or to look over the evidence for alternative theories with more distance from the bombastic narratives of alleged conspiracies.

Any visitor can suggest links to the database using the same tool I do, and add tags to links or vote for links as “Interesting” or not. I still personally go through all the suggestions and try to keep the formatting relatively consistent. As a side-note, over the course of adding the first 2,000 links to my database my tagging style developed a lot, so I am still working on re-tagging many of the first 1,600 documents better to match the later style.

But without promoting the site too much and focusing on it as a personal research tool, I still received some encouraging feedback from people online, for example:

So if you’re watching Obama Deception with your friends, you can do a quick Control+F or search or filter by tags on there.

Jason: And that always helps us by the way, we love that Morgan. Somebody did that with Martial Law [911], if you go to MartialLaw.info, or you just type MartialLaw.info into Google, they did the same exact thing where they went through the entire thing and went through every document that we sourced in that film, and now you’ve done it for the Obama Deception, and even the stuff that we were talking about on our radio programs over the week. This is impressive and we need this kind of dedication, sir.

Some of the issues most relevant to my interests as a web-based software engineer, are net neutrality and “cybersecurity.” There is very real potential for losing access to so much this controversial information if it is largely censored with a loss of net neutrality or if the internet is taken down in the name of emergency. Therefore, I soon added another aspect to my database: the offline backup. This one year old backup is really really crappy compared to the current version of the live web site, but it does allows you to browse through backups of these documents and video clips through your web browser without any internet connection. You can download the ~4.5GB ZIP file at http://altbib.com/offline.

The offline backup, includes most sources cited from all featured stories on PrisonPlanet.com from May 1st to June 7th, 2009, and most of the articles referenced in those articles, and those articles, and those articles. The database also includes almost all web-accessible articles, documents and some video clips referenced in the films, The Obama Deception, End Game, Martial Law 9/11, Fabled Enemies, Loose Change Final Cut AND 2nd Edition. Since the making of Offline Backup Version 1, I’ve also added documents referenced in Zeitgeist: Addendum, Who Killed the Electric Car?, The World According to Monsanto, Orwell Rolls in his grave, Mind the Gap, 7/7 Ripple Effect, and David Ray Griffin’s 9/11: The Myth and The Reality. I have also finally added the first episode of the Corbett Report and plan to eventually add all of them, as well as adapting his documentation time stamp format.

As the months went on, I have continued to catalog all the documents I find interesting during the course of my natural research on the various topics at the top of my long list. Periodically, I am compelled to organize my resulting thoughts through writing. This process very much helps me hone in on what I think I know, when wading these conspiratorial waters, and I plan to continue writing more.

So recently I realized that as long as I’m spending dozens or hundreds of hours researching these topics before writing about them, it would at least be worth me reading my writings into the camera to give people wider access to my ideas and information. Not to mention, how many people want to read some guy’s 10 page research paper online? So with a couple weeks worth of my instinctive volunteering/hobby hours I’ve created all the art for a template to turn my blog into a vlog and podcast. Then on top of this, I’m excited to open up this forum to anyone looking to share their perspective with me. Please feel free to reuse and remix the episode template, which doesn’t have me in it, so you can drop yourself in as an unofficial — but way cooler — Wiki World Order reporter.

Many of this movement’s greats have inspired me like John Perkins, Alex Jones, Jason Bermas, William Cooper and of course James Corbett. I encourage you to lend your ear to their work, as it is my goal to minimize trying to replicate old analysis of long past events and maximize focus on promoting the best solutions I can find out there. Some episodes might be more or less theoretical, practical, casual, opinionated, documentary-style or even family-safe, but hopefully all will be relatively informative and constructive discussions of solutions to the world’s most awkward and painful problems.

And of course, never take my word for ANYTHING. I beg of you to research all of the topics that interest you, come to your own conclusions, and share them with the Wiki World Order. Throughout my years of research, for better and worse, I have ignored countless rabbit holes to focus on issues I find most provable and actionable. But we are all still learning and teaching together, and it will be even more beautiful in retrospect…we just need to ensure we all get there together. So look alive, and always keep learning. We are stuck in a truly epic saga between “good and evil”, but almost all sides believe they work for some greater good…so I am searching for perspectives beyond what we know, and fresh chess moves on the grand board. I’m generally trying to avoid one-dimensional analysis where discussions get a severe bipolar disorder. Nonetheless, these battles might be best reduced to transparency against secrecy.

Many of us see true beauty in all of humanity and want to minimize oppression, while unlocking and unleashing the inner passion and genius inside of each and every one of us. But very clearly, there exist those who consciously seek to mold humans into sheeple, even cattle, treating the masses with great contempt, both publicly and privately, both with words and laws.

Open source software is really built by communities of end-users, so on a long enough time-scale, these solutions better meet the needs of these end-users. And they are also not built to break a few months after a warranty expires. The level of bottom-up collaboration humans have achieved in Wikipedia alone is wildly impressive, but it is only the first step. I want to see almost EVERY industry start trending much faster towards open source domination.

You might have seen some TED talks, where many very powerful solutions are presented to some of the world’s most urgent problems. One key way I envision us surviving here is if some of those technologies of a certain societal significance are not made patentable, but instead made free for reuse and remix under open source or creative commons licensing. Such open source blueprints will be translated into languages and materials of people around the world.

We urgently need to replace greed with collaboration for sustainable energy, food and water technologies. These will all inevitably be issues of life and death for our species on this planet…or anywhere we travel. So screw trinket capitalism, boycott it! And why build up a police state instead of preventing these inevitable crises. Let’s replace the CIA and privatized/corporate intelligence with open source intelligence.

Oh and did I ask you, “Who killed the electric car?” Oh, WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?!?!
Would the electric car have been killed in an open source paradigm? I don’t think so. I will discuss this in an upcoming episode, in a thought experiment posing:

What If we had British Petroleum and General Motors give up any and all intellectual property rights related to alternative energy creation, storage and usage…and then re-released it under some kind of Open Source/Creative Commons license? Don’t they both owe us enough?

We do not go along with solutions A or B: both promoted, bought and paid for by the same set of corporate interests with the most hide or gain. Campaign finance reform is an absolute LYNCHPIN which could open up countless legislative avenues for us, but the Supreme Court sure hasn’t been helping there. Therefore, we really need to step it up and start focusing more on voting DAILY with our dollars to de-fund the mega-corporations which own our governments.

At this point in my studies of various slivers of the world, the only solutions I can consistently support are open source and/or increase transparency. It is for this reason that I’m naming this growing counter-force to oppression, the ‘Wiki World Order.’ Infinitely boosted by the internet, this global movement has already taught me a great deal, collaboratively shedding light on the darkest of blind spots and promoting solutions from the bottom-up.

BUT my time and perspective cannot report on this progress alone, it is collaborative by definition. We can see Americans increasingly rebelling against both the establishment left and the right. Even the mainstream media has had to cover this aspect of the transitions which both political parties are going through during this decade of endless predictable crises.

Acknowledgment of the corruption found on both sides of the political aisle is one of the core concepts which amazing outlets like We Are Change, Infowars and the Corbett Report attempt to spread. I have always found the current two-party system completely inadequate for aggregating the will of the people, and have long adored the idea of either more parties or no parties. So I am very excited to see this reach an ever more conscious level of the national dialogue, but I want to tease the ball a few steps further to help expand the range of potential solutions we consider for upcoming debates.

Below is a more relaxed, long-brewing brainstorm on a couple of paradigms I think might also contribute to paralyzing, if not controlling or co-opting, our best courses of action. These could hypothetically be highlighted to help divide and conquer the masses.

In some cases, the polarizing effect of having primarily two extreme camps to choose from on sub-issues may be hurting more than helping. We also sometimes see the negative effects of such polarization skyrocket when single ideologies are be forced on all scenarios, instead of a more flexible case by case basis. Fortunately the movement has loud voices warning people not to follow any one ideology.

So this is a humble request for the movement to keep pushing past the confines separating us to keep finding increasingly targeted solutions to counter-offer those provided from the top-down system. The better we can hone our arguments and improve our messaging to newcomers to alternative analysis and deep politics.

More VS Less Government? Quality NOT Quantity.

This is a simpler example, and relates to many of my good patriot friends who stand firmly with slogans for “Less Government.” To my eyes or ears, such statements feel a bit counterproductive to our shared goals for a few reasons, but maybe it only irks me.

“Less Government” is vague enough to be co-opted by almost any harmful solution provided. It is also not a rule/ideology you can always follow, unless you’re an anarchist…but then your sign should probably read, “No Government.” This formula should not be endlessly applied, and our libertarian friends sometimes take this mantra too far too blindly.

But more importantly, it implies that the size of government has a causal relationship with its level of corruption or negative impact. In my book, this feels quite unfair.

Larger organizations of any type may have more room for bad apples to hide and prosper. But our society’s policies, manufactured culture and promoted incentives have a far greater influence the positive or negative nature of the impact of organizations (governmental or not).

In a similarly apathetic political climate, a given corporation might have even less trouble buying out a smaller government than our current monstrosity. At the same time, there is a real threat of “Big Government” when corporations can entrench departments and pro-actively using government to directly enact corporate agenda, find ways to increase their budgets to keep expanding their government cloaked work, as we saw more publicly during George W Bush’s military-industrial reign. In the same administration we saw other corporate owned departments strip themselves down as much as possible, completely disassembling any form of meaningful regulation over themselves.

Our current [predictable] economic bubble burst could have been avoided/postponed if trillions of dollars in profit incentives not been allowed to manifest in the first place as derivatives, sub-prime mortgages and other legal Ponzi schemes. That scale of money is not just a motive with a universal adapter on it, but also notably contributes to increasing the vast wealth disparity.

Along these lines, and somewhat ironically, many of those using the “Less Government” slogan might also likely be in favor improving/returning real banking regulations to once against prevent these abuses which the world people and economies are suffering. I assume that a ban on toxic financial products (or any other way to regulate them) would generally be interpreted as “More Government” on this scale.

But if the incentives of our culture were shifted enough, and procedures were made ~100% transparent to the public, we might be able to find some government G spot where the government reflects the public’s interest. This might be theoretical, but it should be nearly attainable, not even requiring a revolution but incremental changes in the correct direction for a change. And seems to be what we should be striving for…ever more pure realization of those ideals inspiring us as youth learning about our republic/democracy (sorry, still insufficient understanding of that paradigms).

The causality implied in this association between more government and bad government also does not seem theoretically sound. With a truly responsible government, an increase in its size could simultaneously increase citizen freedoms. In conclusion, I argue we need to focus on uprooting the incentives for corruption in government, perhaps via campaign finance reform and revolving door protections, instead of just saying we want to change the size. A wise woman once told me it is not really the size of your government that matters, it’s all about how you use it.

The Capitalism VS Socialism Paradigm

This is a case with much graver polarization, and it might be totally unnecessary. One of my dad’s core mantras is all about looking for the right questions to ask. Despite Chomsky’s blind spots or self-censoring on select topics, he is of course brilliant, inspiring and an early influence of mine. So I really like his approach on this here (click here for video).

“Suppose you’re in the 18th century. Should you be asking, ‘Which is the best kind of feudalism?’ I mean that’s all it was. So which is the best kind of feudalism, and slavery, and monarchy and so on and so forth. It just wasn’t the right question. I mean the right question is, ‘Is there something better?’ Like say, parliamentary democracy. Even though there were no examples of it. There were seeds of it, but no functioning examples. I mean seeds of had it been developed and usually crushed, as in England, but these were legitimate struggles. And you know, they succeeded. I mean by now you have parliamentary democracies, which aren’t fantastic but are better than feudalism.” – The World: The Noam Chomsky Sessions

Suppose you’re in the 21st century, what is the best kind of capitalism? The best socialism? Is capitalism better than socialism? What blend of the two would be best? Why are we limited to these questions?

Capitalism or socialism often represent the two main options offered to us in response to most problems, but we don’t even consider trying to come up with any new forms of national economic or governmental organization. Case by case, those rooting for capitalism might tend to dismiss socialist solutions, and vice versa, mostly to stay loyal to their dominant ideology. But as humans we sometimes get trapped into acting like these ideologies are the mythical unified theory of everything in physics, applying it to every aspect of society.

An occasionally mentioned aspect to the discussion is how many ‘socialized’/nationalized services and industries, most people have long approved of like THE MILITARY, Highway System, Federal Waterways, FBI, Bureau of Prisons, Census Bureau, National Park Service, Social Security and all the other free services provided by the executive and legislative branches. So it seems we could have been considered a part-capitalist, part-socialist country for decades. Even better are the number of recent cases we see where the profits privatized while the risks a nationalized, like the painful bank bailouts and Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

The point of terms like ‘crony capitalism,’ is to point out just how far we are from the pure idealized form touted by talking heads. In fact, it seems the bigger mutant capitalist corporations have become so efficient at their business that they went ahead and took over our government, saving us the trouble of regulating them. But if we reign the beast in soon, we may yet have a chance to replace weapons research budgets by incentivizing less harmful technologies across the board.

Unfortunately these ‘ism’s may be false options on yet another level, given another alternate analysis arguing that our country has been best defined as fascist for decades now. This is rooted in the comprehensive corporate influence on most important functions of government, controlling both candidates in a single-party state. A plutocracy (or corpocracy, corporatocracy) has emerged very clearly, along side some of the largest and most offensive wealth inequities in modern history.

It is also bizarre that there is such passion for either of these economic systems, as we have seen examples of both producing failed states when inappropriately implemented…bringing us back my focus on quality over quantity. Our capitalist experiment has been going for just a few hundred years, and this current incarnation of crazed crony-capitalism has clearly dominated at least the past century. It seems clear the technological advances provided by our capitalism incentivized by wealth has potential for enormous net benefits for our species in the long run…but the judge is still out, between our food mono-cultures, biodiversity, GMOs, nuclear and biological weapons.

Another large unmentioned issue when debating socialist versus capitalist solutions is the source of the taxes. An interesting thought experiment is to first ask some one if they would favor socializing some service, perhaps health care. Then ask them if they would still be opposed to it if typical citizens once again did not pay any income tax, while the Fortune 500 moves out of the Cayman Islands to start correcting the record wealth disparities. The nature of who or where the finances come from to run all nationalized services should be a critically important factor in what people think is worth paying for.

The final problem I have with these false options is that they don’t seem to be completely mutually exclusive. As Chomsky says later in the video above, there is no reason businesses cannot be managed democratically controlled by their workers and community, and compete with other businesses managed the same way and others. But there are other ways to improve the capitalism formula without giving up the typical management hierarchy of today.

Capitalism doesn’t say businesses must compete by maximizing-profits, which is very selfish and short-sighted, that’s just how we’ve been playing. If more large-scale businesses stop going public to make them legally bound to maximize profits for shareholders, they will be free to be the best business they can be across all dimensions which humans care about.

If customers and investors take more initiative to carefully vote daily with their dollars for social-benefit-maximizing businesses, which show enough conscience to mitigate their externalities while provide the world beneficial products and services. Dollar votes are currently the most powerful form of voting we have, far better than the false choice A or B every 4 years. But this social-benefit-maximizing business model is a marvelous idea champions by Muhammad Yunus, the Social Business. Muhammad Yunus – The Social Business Model

This general concept of a social business is also finally catch hold in America. This is possibly a side-effect of the long-awaited liberal pendulum swing, and the tough economic times of our decade. Yunus was just last year awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama.

His microcredit banks have brought millions out of poverty in Bangladesh over the past four decades  — side-note: this should theoretically be a plus for eugenicists because population naturally stabilizes as a country develops, and this may be the most natural, positive and creative method being successfully tried. A few test-runs of similar microcredit banks are finally being started up in America.

According to the web site of B Corporation, a leading certification firm to certify businesses adhering to enough of these kinds of social business principles, over 300 companies have become certified with a branded B Corporation status since 2006, including Seventh Generation. The 300 represent $1.1 billion in revenues, 54 industries, and $750k in annual savings.

There is a parallel movement around the country to grant legal tax status to B Corporations which one assumes will offer various benefits back to these businesses. My home state of Maryland signed the nation’s first Benefit Corporation legislation on April 13th and Vermont passed it on May 19th, 2010. Whether or not their state is ready for it yet, businesses can start taking a confidential survey NOW to learn what areas they need improvement on, to work towards a longer-term goal of becoming fully certified.

Full disclosure: my very cool 9-5 work, Rescue Social Change Group, based in San Diego, is already looking into this process and looks forward to becoming certified without having to alter our existing small social business model infused from the beginning. What can I say other than, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Conclusions: Transparency and Social Businesses

Alone, neither left nor right, neither more nor less government, neither capitalism nor socialism can save us. So let us please not choose our preferred solutions solely because they fit into one ideology or another. Rationally look at the situation and find the longest-term good we can muster no matter what ‘ism’ it implies.

In place of protesting for less (or more) government, I would protest for transparent government. Any sized government can work for its people if they have information and access. What jerks in Congress can forever avoid voting for bills if they are specifically honed only on increasing transparency? As a general note, shorter bills in Congress may generally help both these issues and finding more worth-while common ground. Campaign finance reform is quite possibly the other most serious roadblock to real control over our own government.

‘Do you lean towards Capitalism or Socialism?’ – Maybe I’m into Social Businism!

Either ideology, taken to the extreme, becomes quite a scary beast, so please don’t use them as the primary basis for every decision. It’s just like being tempted to just vote down your party-line…what does that party stand for, exactly…and as related to a specific modern-day issue?

In this next economy transition, we could try to replace a portion of the 100% worthless trinket capitalism products and services with social businesses to compete on a few fronts with the corporate-industrial complex, targeting first the industries vital to human life an well-being. With the proper public education, product labeling and accessibility, we can gradually shift to only pay for products made with our long-term interest in mind, instead of someone else’s short-term bottom-line.

And it should turn out that plenty of industries and niche markets do not need to ditch their profit-maximizing models. Hopefully many key industries will end up dominated by social businesses and see a rebirth to provide options healthier for us, our neighbors and our planet. There will also always be room for profit-maximizing businesses to coexist even after this, but that decision would be in the hands of those markets.

So if enough people like this, it is one possible direction we could try to steer towards while we’re fighting the smaller battles: the widespread conversions and start-ups of real Social Businesses, followed up by communities supporting them simply with our patronage.

Why wait for Washington when we can make these moves ourselves?

Already having my hands full with plenty of after-hours activist work, it didn’t at first occur to me this should be my task. Instead the instinct to coach from the sidelines instead of dive in won the first round. I lazily sent an email to Infowars headquarters in Austin explaining my idea, curious if they knew of any existing solutions or would value dedicating some resources to it. One week later without response (no offense taken), it was clear to me that I needed to build this, if nothing other than a personal educational/research tool.

I consequently hope this can be a lesson to others who are temporarily paralyzed from action: If you are unsure how to help a issue, cause or situation so large no one individual has control over, try…

1. Thinking about what you wish the leaders/titans of your movement were doing,
2. Checking to make sure it isn’t already happening. – If it is, you can help if you’re motivated to.
3. Just start doing it. – If you can’t do it, then why not and is it worth investing in getting to a point you can. Otherwise, keep thinking until you find something you can do and dip your toes in.

It has now been just over one year since the InfowarDocs.org research database was started, and it now contains 4,675 Reference Links, with 6,287 Tags/Keywords, with 45,692 Taggings! According to my basic statistics written in PHP (unintentionally almost three times larger than Google’s stricter Analytics), the database has been queried over 300,000 times by by 44,000 visitors. My very crude automated backup process has already successfully helped to preserve 43 documents which have been removed from their online location since being added to the database. I have nonetheless spent very little time over the last year improving the database’s usability and appearance, and as the site’s primary user became quite used to it. But the time has been overdue for some real improvements to try to open this resource to a wider audience’s interest, while still hoping to accommodate dorkier researchers like me.

The change of name comes largely just from a slow discovering of the identity of this database, there was not a full picture of the end result when it got started. I feel this new name of Alt Bib, the Alternate Bibliography does a much better job of encapsulating this somewhat weird research experiment of mine. For better or worse this lessens the association with Infowars/Prison Planet, possibly the most influential operation in the Alternative Media. I’m happy not to step on any such toes with the name, and really like removing “war” from my domain name as a pacifist.

So there’s no change in how the database is run or who is running it, this is just a re-branding before some much more exciting tools will be launched for much better interaction and collaborative knowledge sharing. Once the new functionalities are more settled, a professional graphic designer friend will be giving the site a visual face-lift.  I’m so excited I want to spill those beans now, but please stay tuned for those to be announced in the coming few weeks, as they will truly start to tie together some of the core objectives of the resource.

A couple days after Christmas, a loved one asked me if my gut said this terrorist attempt was a false flag event or other not as officially covered. My reply was yes, but that much more research was needed for a more serious response. So the primary goal of this narrative case study is to clarify the kind of research and mental processes many alternative media followers and researchers use to read between the lines of mass media. This is always research in progress, and there is not yet any specific group(s) to blame beyond the obvious, but we can at least trace some indicators we see in many other narratives, past and present…

• Early planning and implementation stages of research, function and integration of new ‘security’ technologies
• Security versus privacy discussions with slow, gradual mental conditioning of the masses to accept the desired changes, whether or not the propaganda succeeds
• Testing implementation of technology and related propaganda in small locals long before creating a nationwide policy (no, there’s nothing inherently wrong with this process, but it does point to some level of conscious intent)
• The rarity of alternative analysis evidence breaking out for a full news cycle in the mainstream discussion, reaching echo chamber status and becoming a ‘valid’ talking point (all these seem to be relative whitewash in this case study)
• Parallel implementation, media spin and narratives in other ‘developed’ countries
• Sometimes finding the key differences in the coverage between the different ‘developed’ countries expand perspective on an issue ten-fold (nothing big in this case study)

• There was initially a second man on the plane (his “man in orange”) who was arrested/being held and who allegedly videotaping the incident.
• A sharp dressed “Indian man” attempting to talk a ticket agent into letting a supposed “Sudanese refugee” (Abdulmutallab) onto flight 253 without a passport.
• If his eye witness account is false, it could easily be proven by releasing the Amsterdam airport video tapes showing the “sharp dressed man”.

Patrick F. Kennedy, an undersecretary for management at the State Department, said Abdulmutallab’s visa wasn’t taken away because intelligence officials asked his agency not to deny a visa to the suspected terrorist over concerns that a denial would’ve foiled a larger investigation into al-Qaida threats against the United States.

ABC News, Jan 22 also gave it the final three short paragraphs in a two-page online article with the unrelated headline, Alert: Female Suicide Bombers May Be Heading Here From Yemen:

As part of the additional scrutiny, federal agents are conducting extensive background checks on every passenger who flew to Detroit on the Northwest flight in case one of them might have been sent as a “spotter” on the mission. Federal agents also tell ABCNews.com they are attempting to identify a man who passengers said helped Abdulmutallab change planes for Detroit when he landed in Amsterdam from Lagos, Nigeria. Authorities had initially discounted the passenger accounts, but the agents say there is a growing belief the man have played a role to make sure Abdulmutallab “did not get cold feet.”

• Whether or not the Obama administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DoJ) properly responded to the terrorist attempt
• Whether or not if he was read his Miranda rights [Democracy Now]

Given the potential contract with TSA, the high predictability of a rise in the stock price immediately after the bombing attempt is itself an opportunity for anyone with foreknowledge to profit on the short-term. But even if nobody took advantage of their foreknowledge, there’s a clear long-term benefit for shareholders and helping secure their next round of government contracts.

So it was announced on Dec 14th that the companies building and selling the selected machines, Rapiscan Systems (interestingly run by Deepak Chopra) of OSI Systems and Smiths Detection (British company), that the Transportation Security Administration would buy their machines in the next 30 days {ATW}

After resigning he immediately joined the fraud investigation regarding the Swine Flu Panic of ’09, he pushed it to the Council, and received their consensus in confirming various acts of corruption. In part, this must be due to the dozens of independent journalists around the world who have been collecting information since the months before the flu even started. Their flags of interest were raised by the FEMA/military preparations for pandemics and/or the growing billions of dollars of vaccine stockpiles approaching their expiration date.

We must encourage more of this kind of Revolving Door Reversal, where people leave to fight for justice, instead of succumbing to the greedy gravitation towards corporations. Push 100% for rational discussion and debate on any topic upon leaving, as we have been at a loss for checks and balances. - World Health Organization (WHO) drastically changed the definition of “pandemic”
- Mass produced vaccine was not nearly adequately tested, and used adjuvants with unknown side-effects

There are layers of scandals i will not go into detail on, but each of the pharmaceutical companies making the vaccines have an offense track record to be chosen again by WHO. There was lots of obvious media to prepare our minds to accept martial law, quarantines and forced inoculations as the logical reactions to such a pandemic.

My foreknowledge of almost all of this fraud since the beginning, because Alex Jones/ Prison Planet/ Infowars is ONE OF my sources for news…

For two years, I have learned a lot from watching nearly every episode of Rachel Maddow, The Daily Show, Colbert Nation, many Democracy Now and Infowars broadcasts. A few times a month, Infowars will break a story they have received from listeners, then verified, by the over 3 million awakening people a week between radio, internet broadcast and people re-post on YouTube, etc. Then two or three weeks later the online buzz from inescapable facts covered by alternative media forces the information into the mainstream. We are often validated again by being able to accurately predict the narrative for the reaction to these facts, as presented in the mainstream media. Once you get the feel of their narratives, you’ll give the movie three thumbs down for predictability and unnecessary gore.

Thus watching the frequency of accurate analysis in my experience, the Infowars method is far more historically accurate for past, present and future events that the top-down media outlets, though the rest of those shows aren’t too terrible, they have topic limits. Alex Jones has evolving into more of a hub for this kind of information, and not some unilateral source. The bigger it gets, the more it becomes like a Wiki style media, collaborating with a broad variety of people with shared root concerns. And yes he can have a shock-style presentation sometimes, but given the gravity of his content i can rarely blame him for his passion. One should compensate for the bias behind any presentation of information, and even without any spin, the facts scream for themselves.

Here is a fairly clear prediction aired 11 months ago on the Alex Jones show…ONE MONTH before the flu startedand then hit the headlines. Dr. Rebecca Carley explains how she was already watching these companies because of the millions of vaccines about to expire. They also discuss some of the potential directions the conspirators could go with a consciously initiated pandemic, but there is more modern eugenics background needed to accept the possibility of those more hypothetical parts of their predictions. We can certainly now prove the basic fraud confirmed the Council of Europe this week.

It looks like her license was revoked because people thought she was crazy, largely due to her vocal anti-vaccination position and trauma from her child’s vaccine reactions, “Dr. Labins also stated that the Respondent believes that the government is interested in pursuing all persons who are opposed to vaccinating children, which is part of a global government plot in collusion with the drug industry.” It is therefore ironic that almost a year after making these predictions she should be at least partially vindicated for her fears of vaccine conspiracies. She also charged fear of being discriminated against for her vaccine beliefs, which sounds like a discriminatory charge. I have not delved to her history, found this side-note interesting, and it does little to invalidate her now confirmed prediction in my mind.

I wish to unite a somewhat urgent meeting with you and several other closest and most trusted minds. While being aware of certain information and ideas since 2001, perhaps I was intimidated by the breath and scope. Or perhaps my focus on fighting the absurd ‘war on drugs,’ which had affected me more directly, seemed like a more manageable goal. But over the past seven years, I have done my best to research and rationalize away from what increasingly seems to be an Orwellian reality, without adequate success. Therefore, I feel this need to reveal my opinions to an unprecedented degree. In this endeavor, I hope I am not, though assume I am, unknowingly plagiarizing ideas of great minds past. But rest assured: I am still, and always will be, an absolute pacifist.

The topics I am touching on here are only being raised here because I have found enough solid evidence to support them. The bits of evidence I do briefly touch upon can found via Google and my research database, InfowarDocs.org, described at the end. My hope is that some of these issues alarm you too, and we can find solutions together.

Background On My World View
These are the most difficult, and highest level issues to wrestle with in search of truth. Usually we have the official story on one side and the ‘conspiracy theorists’ providing an alternate story. But rarely do we receive rational debate based on facts and evidence from both sides, let alone an official response to accusations. Instead, the two sides endlessly write off each others’ arguments as coming from the crazies, blinded or corrupted. My tendencies lean on the side of those promoting transparency over secrecy. Therefore, I am particularly skeptical of the motives of those who categorically deny the evidence for such theories, no matter how strongly it is based in science or public record.

Raised solidly from the left, one of my earliest memories from elementary school is of writing George H W Bush a letter, including silly clip art, pleading against the war in Iraq. I have always voted for Democrats except a protest vote for Nader in 2000 when Maryland was safe for Gore. But my belief in the right for anybody to put anything into their bodies, absent harm to others, (all drugs should be taxed and regulated) opened me to many of the libertarian concepts. But at the end of the day, I disagree with the right-left paradigm and do not think any two parties could ever provide a true democracy.

While raised with a firm belief in capitalism, I simultaneously believe that certain things should be not be based in profit, like basic food, shelter, health care and protection of the environment…to the extreme that it would be far more effective to feed and shelter peoples of the Middle East rather than invade and murder them in reaction to the 9/11 attacks. Hence, I do not think the appropriate question is asking what form of capitalism or socialism is best, but rather we must accept the fact that we have no working examples of superior forms of government which could obey truth and citizens’ interest.

Similarly, I am not against globalization, but rather I am concerned with the motives and methods which have thus far been used to covertly bring in world governmental bodies that we already know like the United Nations and World Trade Organization. I do think most people in these organizations have good intentions. Have you heard of the North American Union, which quietly began merging the United States with Canada and Mexico in 2005? While there are certain realities which require countries to coordinate closely with each other, but this can be done without loss of sovereignty and human rights, using transparent and honest methods.

9/11 Was A False Flag Attack

“False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations or other organizations, which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities.” (Wikipedia)

In the days following 9/11, the official story developing and the war drum beating towards the Middle East was inherently illogical to me (blaming Osama bin Laden the ex-CIA asset and Al Qaeda, which we now know was at the time merely the name of one of our intelligence databases). First, how could our citizens assume we did not deserve such an attack despite the [covertly] inflicted terrorism and wars we have promoted around the world through the decades? Second, how could unilaterally invading any country possibly improve our national security? Of course, it was clear to everyone that such logic pales to the forces of the military-industrial complex, and yet I felt very nervous about making many of my ‘unpatriotic’ views public.

The ‘USA Patriot Act’ earned my attention both as a drug policy activist and as one with an open ear to ‘conspiracy theorists.’ As it was clear to most, this was a blatant slap in the face to our Constitution and our basic rights, sold to the public as a required trade of freedoms for security. While we have never had something close to a pure democracy, now even our basic liberties and rights are too threatened. And of course, our country’s invasions of the Middle East were fear-mongered missteps in defiance of US and international law.

But as increasing 9/11 evidence and analysis have come out over the years, it has become increasing conclusive in my mind that the official story was at best, a gross mismanagement of foreknowledge by multiple agencies. At worst, it is much closer to an intentional plot including some of the nation’s highest leaders to quickly progress their pre-declared goals of war and a state of security. But from years of interest and study in basic physics, simply watching the nearly free-fall collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, through the path of most resistance, inherently screamed to me that these were controlled demolitions…and I knew I was not alone (patriotsquestion911.com).

To this day, the victims of 9/11 still have not had 70% of their questions answered, including two of the most smoking guns, in my opinion:

1. The controlled demolition of World Trade Center Building 7, not hit by any planes
2. This statement from the 9/11 Commission Report: “To date, the US Government has not been able to determine the origin of the money used for the 9/11 attacks. Ultimately the question is of little practical significance.”

It is my opinion that the origin of the money is of the most practical significance, and this mentality completely discredits the efforts and motivations of the 9/11 Commission.

Intelligence whistle blowers and rare media outlets have found fairly convincing paper trails, much more informative than the official 9/11 Commission. Far beyond that, just two months ago Niels Harrit and his team of chemists at the University of Copenhagen published a peer-reviewed paper confirming the discovery of un-reacted nano-thermite (thermate) explosives in World Trade Center dust in New York City. Nano-thermite, is extremely advanced and currently only publicly known to be used by the US Department of Defense and military. This finding is in direct conflict with the conclusions of fire-based collapse provided by FEMA, NIST and the 9/11 Commission.

So while the attacks gave all governments across the world a great boost in power, increasingly clear to me that our US leaders allowed, if not provided, this problem to which they could directly push through their narrow-scoped set of solutions. These are the conclusions I have come to thus far on this event, and I strongly encourage you to learn as much as you can to reach your own conclusions. Unfortunately, given all the evidence I have reviewed, I can only believe that 9/11 was a false flag attack.

Is A Policy Paradigm Shift Actually Happening?
While it is good for people to come to these realizations now, it is obviously far too late to stop the mass deaths from wars and torture. We are almost eight years out from this event, and people reaching these conclusions are still categorically considered ‘crazies’ by the mainstream media. This sets an extremely dangerous precedent as to how much the government is still able to get away despite this budding age of information, a renaissance which I hope ushers in a paradigm of ultimate respect for truth…but this is clearly not the agenda of the top policy makers.

Ever since the 9/11 false flag, we have seen such a rapid disassembly of our constitutional liberties and rights, but more importantly President Obama seems to be defending far too many of these abominations. One major turning point for me was his recent speech delivered in the National Archives in front of the US Constitution, during which he defended the use of prolonged detentions, the guilty before proven innocent logic (we still have plenty of legal loopholes remaining open for torture and rendition)…it felt straight out of Orwell, and offended me to my very core. Simultaneously, the new administration is saying we should not investigate and prosecute the crimes of the past administration, and instead focus on the future…one must remember that we are only supposed to prosecute crimes which have occurred in the past.

During his excellent speech in Cairo, A New Beginning, he echoed another core George W Bush principle, “I am aware that some question or justify the events of 9/11. But let us be clear: Al Qaeda killed nearly 3,000 people on that day.”

President Obama’s constitutional law background (which I was so naively counting on) does not appear to be enough for truly fundamental change, absent widespread pressure from citizens. While much of the rhetoric is still sounding good, there seem to be inadequate actions on most fronts to back it up. Since I was a supporter of the Obama campaign (knowing Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul would probably not be able to win), I still like to believe that he has good intentions deep down but we must free him from his handlers to see them enacted.

Grave Concerns About ‘State Of Emergency’ Executive Powers
Even our internet is now (publicly) being threatened with the Cybersecurity Act of 2009, by Senator John D Rockefeller IV, Chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. This would give the executive branch the power to shut down or retrieve loosely defined ‘critical’ data throughout the internet in a case of emergency (which is absolutely possible from a technical standpoint). If passed this gives the power to end our key source of free speech or fully shut down the internet as we know it.

This is only the most recent in the growing ‘emergency’ powers the executive branch has been accumulating over the past 50 years to the point where the US President can truly act as a dictator, and martial law can be imposed over every aspect of our country. Unfortunately, martial law is also much more realistic than it might sound. The military and police have become increasingly integrated across the country since 9/11, in addition to the availability of international forces if need be (North American Union, United Nations). While some would argue that we need policies in place as contingency plans, to me this argument does not hold to me. The same people providing such solutions are also creating, or at least driving us towards, the crises in which it could be ‘needed.’

The threat of martial law really hit me a month ago during the height of the bogus swine flu scare, which the World Health Organization used to practice pandemic alert level 5 (after tweaking the requirements to declare it). With George W. Bush’s Executive Directive 51 and other directives, the US President can declare a ‘state of emergency’ from this alert level (the final level 6 would have made it far more likely). That week I watched a lawyer on a FOX news show rationalizing and mentally preparing people to accept martial law should it be imposed, and now there are discussions in the media debating forced inoculations for the fall.

Even if this spring’s harmless yet unprecedented swine flu was not hatched in a US military lab, as many voices argue, I feel our world leaders and their industry counterparts have far too much control over our collective and individual fate. To me, this is yet another largely unseen example of how far we have strayed from the democracy I was taught; just how little voice we effectively have, and the potential for certain interests to force their problem on us, followed by their solution, without a care for our principles or liberties.

While I am in no way an economist, my research on our financial system as we’ve known it for the past 100 years points to its acute design for inevitable collapse. Even without ridiculous blank checks to banks (and who knows what’s in the stimulus package), we pay interest on the money which is privately printed for us, and we can therefore never break even with our collective debt. Through this inherent debt on currency, derivatives tools and exponentially growing government spending (in the past decades for tools of destruction rather than creation), there are many indicators and economic experts say our current economic collapse will shortly include the end of our fiat dollar.

Taking The Next Steps
I would like to believe we can solve all these core problems with the right kind of policy actions, even if we cannot determine what, if any, specific group(s) of individuals are enclosing this trap upon us. But I am conflicted because this strategy, as with any policy-based activist movement, it would require the broadest public mobilization. While maybe this may be a possibility given the impending financial collapse of our society, one of my key questions is if we have time before our financial collapse is combined with one state of emergency of choice to usher in a new darker age in place of a renaissance.

Furthermore, I cannot help but feel that in retrospect, our human race will be defined by whether we can resist our own self-destruction and evolve past violence and corruption, to possibly become more significant force of creation and truth in our universe.

When I hit my breaking point a month or two ago and needed to start taking action, I built a simple online database to help me catalog and aggregate the mostly mainstream articles and public records upon which these ‘conspiracy theories’ are based, or as I find more appropriate, ‘agenda analysis.’ INFOWARdocs.org now has over 2,300 links to news articles, documents (both government and corporate) and videos, organized by over 1,700 keywords, with basic options to filter and search. To get started on your research, I would advise loading the site and filtering for topics that interest you, reading some headlines, then reading the details than interest you.

So I find myself in desperate need of your counsel as to what we must do to preserve the rights and ideals we were all raised to hold most dear. I would love to be proven wrong by you on as much of this as possible, but know we are all crippled by the filters through which all evidence is processed. So I wish to recruit you to check my work, bring your perspective to the table, and to collaborate on potential solutions and strategies. Thus far, here are some of the concrete solutions I feel may give us a chance without full-blown revolution:

• Campaign Finance Reform
  so long as the politician with the most money usually gets elected we can never shed their corruption
• End the Federal Reserve
  so long as we have no control over, and are indebted by the printing of our own currency, we are always at least partial slaves to some banking elite
• End Nuclear and Biological Weapons (world development and stockpiles)
  as this is the easiest and most straight-forward ways for us to destroy ourselves
• End the Corporation
  so long as corporations are entities which are legally obligated to maximize profits for the benefit of their shareholders, we can never shed their corruption
• End the Central Intelligence Agency (and possibly the National Security Agency)
  even if we need covertly collected intelligence, citizens cannot make informed decisions without transparency
  

I implore you to do as much research as you can, and join me for an initial meeting of our minds to help decide how we might best lead our generations away from Orwell’s world and towards positive and sustainable prosperity. I will be contacting you to try to organize one or two meetings between August and October at my house (maybe one on west coast if needed)…even though I understand very few will want to get involved with any of these issues (via activism), I need to gather your perspectives on these issues to determine their validity and strategies for solutions as thoroughly as possible. While sharing our ideas, it is also my hope that we will all learn a great deal and evolve our personal filters with which we each view our respective fields and lives. If you have a trusted friend who might be, it would be great to invite them too. I must thank my beloved parents and girlfriend for so patiently, rationally and respectfully debating these issues with me over the past few months, allowing me to clarify and verbalize what all of this means to me.

Yes, most of this is blatant propaganda promoted by various ‘conspiracy theorists.’ But they distribute the videos for free, don’t seem to own the mainstream media, must compete with the main line to the best of their abilities, and I assume none of us have the time to read all of the books one might need to grasp these concepts. As I strive to be, please be open-minded yet skeptical of all, and investigate deeper into topics which you may find particularly interesting, offensive or alarming. 1. America: Freedom to Fascism (2006, 111 minutes)
Important documentary by Aaron Russo, on the unconstitutionality of the federal income tax and the federal reserve system. Ties in a bit with the USA Patriot Act and its atrocities to our constitution.

2. The Obama Deception (2009, 111 minutes)
A decent post-partisan overview as to where we stand today as of May 15^th, by Alex Jones who has also made some of the most damning documentaries of the Bushes. The only significant statement of fact I have found to be false is that Timothy Geithner, not Barack Obama, got his first job from Henry Kissinger, the majority is simply public record. 3. Loose Change Final Cut (2007, 130 minutes)
The brute logic, eyewitness and scientific evidence one can use to cut through the official conspiracy theory sold by the 9/11 Commission. The third version of a classic, started by some of the original 9/11 Truthers in New York, contains much updated information. An earlier edition of this film was one of the few things specifically debated by the editors of Popular Mechanics, though I have not found their arguments to hold up. 4. Zeitgeist: Addendum (2008, 123 minutes)
The first Zeitgeist film’s first 1/3 focusing on religion has been widely contested and discredited information, and the rest of the 9/11 info is covered elsewhere. But this sequel focuses on the inherently illogical Federal Reserve system and an extensive interview with John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. Then in the end the Venus Project advocates for a new technologically-based social system (utopia), elements of which I find quite debatable, but if nothing else, is an important thought experiment.

5. Fabled Enemies (2008, 102 minutes)
This film, by one of the makers of Loose Change, Jason Bermas, does not focus on what happened on 9/11 but who did it and where the money trails lead. It follows the intelligence ties of Osama Bin Laden, the alleged hijackers, and those who were actually detained on 9/11. 6. End Game – Blueprint for Global Enslavement (2007, 139 minutes)
This Alex Jones film depicts a more hard-core doomsday analysis of the publicly stated goals of the elite, covering the Bilderberg Group, North American Union, eugenics and depopulation. While the depopulation agenda is so vast and integrated it might be impossible to conclusively prove, it is nonetheless a very important concept to be familiar with. 7. The Capitalist Conspiracy (1969, 47 minutes)
Similar to The Obama Deception, this is not so much about evils of capitalism, but the structures controlling both sides (capitalism and communism). Amazing how long these ideas have been around and little public opinion has changed since the 60s. Slightly harder to find online, but it is there.
